How do you feel about buffet dinners at weddings?
Im trying to choose between a sit down dinner or a buffet. I don't mind the cost of a sit down dinner, but if you are unhappy with your choice of dinner there is really no room for flexibility, where as a buffet you can pick exactly what you want and if you don't like it go back for more. I come from a big family and all of our holiday dinners are buffet style so I know my family won't mind but I'm curious as to how other people feel about this. Is it horrible to have to get up to fix your own plate?Ricardo No I didn't think about having that option, but that's a great idea I do have some handicap family members and I was wondering how that would work out and it was one of the reasons why I thought maybe a sit down dinner would be better but why couldn't we have both, right? I will definitely be asking my venue about that Thank you Thank you everyone for your input.. I'm glad to see that I'm not the only person who likes buffets. Watching Four Weddings on TLC scared me off I think because the girls are always complaining about waiting in line. I will be so busy that day I won't even be thinking about food, but for a lot of the guests who aren't interested in the party.. dinner is the highlight of the night, so I want to be sure that they will be happy with my decision

Why does it seem like all I'm seeing on tv today is weddings and couple?
I'm starting to feel all so lonely lol
Do u think destination weddings are selfish? Pls read description. ?
I'm referring to the ones where it's at an all inclusive resort, so your guests have little to no choice of where they want to stay and must pay a set minimum for 5 or 7 or 20 days....those are the typical all inclusive packages. I'm on the fence, in a way I think it's a bit selfish because most guests will have to fork over at least $800 1000 for a week all inclusive vacation. Guests have to take time off. Guests have no choice but to go wherever the couple wants. Some guests want to be there but can't because they can't afford it.On the other hand, all inclusive weddings could be a nice getaway. Its an excuse for a vacation. Can celebrate with friends and families for a whole week without worries. What do u think?

Where can I buy bridesmaid dresses under $100 for summer beach weddings?
One of my sisters is getting married in July, having invited me to be one of her bridesmaids. She is planning her wedding in a hurry, so cannot spare more time selecting the bridesmaid dresses with me. I gonna buy a bridesmaid dress online, but don't know what websites are good for bridesmaid dresses. The wedding will be on the beach. What kind of dresses do you think I can buy? Detailed recommendations are appreciated.

Question about Christian Orthodox weddings?
My daughter has just gotten engaged to a wonderful young man. My daughter was raised LDS Mormon and her fiance was raised Roman Catholic. Her fiance has converted to Orthodoxy, and she's in the process of converting. I'm not 100 % sure what all that entails, since I'm a practicing member of the LDS church. My question is this From what I've studied about the Orthodox marriage ceremony, it's a sacrament I get that and that the ceremony lasts for over an hour. They have both expressed their desire to be married in their Orthodox church, and I support that. Since most of the guests and family are not Orthodox, I'm concerned that not only will they not " get it," but some may also become a little annoyed with the length of the service, since Western wedding services are usually a 1 2 hour, max. The bride also has grandparents my in laws who are quite elderly and may not even last for an hour long service. Is there a possibility that they could have a more " civil" ceremony for all their guests, and either before or afterwards, have their marriage blessed by the orthodox priest? By afterwards, I'm talking a week or so later, or maybe even the next day. I'd appreciate any information someone familiar with the Christian Orthodox Church can give me. She says it's the Antiochian Order, if that makes any difference. Thanks so much in advance.I am not disappointed in my daughter's religious beliefs, not at all. I even said that I support their decision to be married in the Orthodox church. Actually, I'm looking forward to it, if for nothing else because it will be a new experience for me.I'm asking for information about the Orthodox marriage service...that's all folks. I'm not blasting it, I'm not opposed to it. If you're familiar with the Orthodox service, I'd appreciate an answer. If you want to blast me for my religious beliefs, then please keep your opinions to yourself.
I don't know a whole lot about weddings... do I get to join my boyfriend at the rehearsal dinner?
He is a groomsmen in the wedding. Also, it's extremely casual.I'm just curious if it's something I would be invited to. If not, no big deal. Just wondering.
Are Double Weddings a good idea?
Ok so I'm getting married to my best friends step brother. She got us together & her now fianc asked her to marry her the same week. Me & my best friend want to do a double wedding on the beach towards the middle end of summer. Does this sound tacky? Is it a good idea we had planned to be each others maid of honors but now we thought well we can do a double wedding & have our own and yet still be in each others wedding. I wouldnt mind sharing my " special day" with her at all. She's my best friend and got me with her step brother after all. And any suggestions would be helpful if you have any Thanks The men thought it was a good idea. The two men are good friends so they thought it was " cool" haha. My friend and I are both choosing a flower girl, ring barriers, and things like that so its like 2 flower girls, 2 ring Barriers. It's one for each couple.
