Can you have a wedding reception a couple weeks after the ceremony?
hi my fiancee and i are planning to get married in november 2013 and are starting to budget. we are looking at marrying in disneyland with family and very close friends and spending about 3000$ on the ceremony and about 2500$ for our honeymoon. is it alright if we wait a month or two after our wedding to have a reception? nothing to big just a small reception with friends from home, we live in new jersey so they can't really come down to florida for the ceremony but if we have a small one with like food, dancing, toasts and all that would it be okay?
Is it more affordable to have my wedding reception catered or to buy food to cook myself?
Im jotting down ideas for my wedding and the venue I want is going cost me $4000 Which is a third of my budget so I want to think of ways to stay within budget so which would probably cost more? Catering or buying the food to cook myself?

Me and my husband got married at the court house and we having a reception for all our guest who couldn't come to the wedding. I'm needing to know when to start and stop everything. Buffet line, garter toss, bouquet toss, 1st dance, cake cutting. When does it takes place, what goes 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.I know it's a bit off on the timing of the ceremony and recpion, but times are tough and we needed it to be separated. So we split the wedding up and changed the date. The plan was get married on 2 11 2012. But instead we got married by court house 11 2 2011 and having the reception 5 11 2012.
How to decorate my wedding reception venue! Help Please!?
Ok, so i was very limited in choice as we had 6 months left to choose when we decided to up the date to this august. And the venue is beautiful, it's just not my style. I like lots of lights and low lighting with drapy fabric and just an all over comfortable feel. The venue has high ceilings which i was told could not have anything hanging from them , and a wall of door windows that let it a lot of light which somehow i need to cover up because i want low lighting and the light is distracting . The bridal table i was also told could not be in front of the doors that let in the light because it would block the fire escape no matter how far away the table is . Unlike the pictures you see, the bridal table i guess can no longer be placed in front of the doors which is the center of the room and must be placed on the side in between the rows of arches that line each side of the room. If anyone has any ideas how to decorate this with lights, fabric or covering up these windows please let me know Here is a webiste that shows my venue. Keep in mind i will have about 12 more tables and the bridal table will have to be on the left of this behind the arches is what they tell me or caddy cornered with a sweetheart table in the back corner . Okay, I need help. I am getting married at Sierra Cross Park in Ventura, Ca but I DON'T want my reception there. This is what I am looking for A place to hold my wedding reception perferably in a large room of a resturant, back padio, or somewhere thats cheap where I can have a my own catering and dj. where I can have a DJ, alcohol, under $2500 for a 2 4 hr reception, with about 200 people in attendance. I'm getting married in 16 days but i haven't worked out a reception schedule yet. the wedding is at 3 so the reception will start at 5. snacks served while we're getting our photos taken . Vintage Travel Themed Wedding Reception?
I am making my invitations for my wedding reception, which is a vintage travel theme. I'm having a hard time coming up with a " tag line" for the top of the invitation. Any ideas? It was not a destination wedding, just a small wedding. The reception will be help outdoors, with lots of vintage travel decor.Any ideas would be appreciated

Hiya After some ideas please i did post a week or so ago but didnt get any genuine replies Im getting married next year in a Church hoping in the afternoon and then going onto our reception we dont want a sit down meal so i was thinking buffet and drinks with the 40 guests that have come to the actual wedding We will be having 100 guests attending the evening do but after the buffet im worried they will get bored.. what are they meant to do until the evening do? if it was a meal it would take up more time but trying to save money any ideas would be really appreciated thankyou
