Im looking for unique wedding reception ideas..?
I want to have our wedding be memorable..I want everyone to look back after the wedding and say " that was different" ..I've already thought of the photo booth, unfortunetly that's not in our budget We are doing a hawaiian themed wedding if that helps..Any and all help with this would be greatly appreciated.
Low cost wedding reception ideas in Michigan?
My fiance and I in other words me are looking into places that are low cost he's military and hasn't raised much money yet but still nice. I really have no clue what I'm looking at with things because we are so new at it and our families don't have a lot of experience either But anyway, anyone have any ideas? I'm from the middle of the mitten and he's from the southern side of it. So maybe Lansing area? But if anyone can think of a spot that's not, we'll certainly look into it Thanks much in advance oh, we haven't picked where we're holding the ceremony so that doesn't come into play
What are some fun wedding reception ideas?
There most likely isn't going to be any dancing groom and bride don't like to dance and there are going to kids there, so just curious as to what are some other fun things to do? Never been to a wedding so not sure how they go..

My fiance and I are getting married August of 2012, so we have plenty of time but I think about things a lot so I am getting base plans now... We want, or should I say need, a relatively cheap wedding because I don't graduate until December 2012 If things go according to plan and he may have difficulty finding work with his degree while waiting for me to finish school. So we are stuck with the minimum wage jobs for a while. Also, I feel it's a little silly to spend too much on just 1 day... Anyways, we live in Orlando, FL so an August wedding is bound to be HOT but I wanted to make sure I'd be between semesters, because I am an Education Major and I will have to be in the schools a lot so I cannot afford to miss a lot because of my wedding. So I definitely want to be indoors for the reception. I like to dance, so I want music and the dance area too. There won't be a lot of people, because we don't think too many people will have money to travel here in peak season and we don't want to invite people and have them feel guilty for not coming if they don't even know either of us that well anyways People like cousins, and great aunts, and etc... Or worse, still come even though they can't afford it. So I don't need a big area... I just want a nice place to have a nice reception that wouldn't be too expensive. What would you guys recommend? Just to get some ideas flowing.
'classy' Redneck wedding reception ideas?
I am having a " Princess fairy tail wedding" with the new Disney collection. The Jasmine collection.I am really girly, but i also have a redneck side. So i want my reception so be a more classy version of a redneck reception. I plan to have sweet tea and mason jars to drink from. I am gonna have white cowgirl boot vases with wild flowers. All of my guests are gonna change from their dressy cloths to jeans and a T after the wedding. I plan to serve hot dogs, hamburgers, ribs, bbq chicken, Cole slaw, potato salad, 3 bean salad, and baked beans. My colors are pink and yellow. Any other ideas that go with what i am doing?thanx in advance I asked ideas, not opinions. Last i checked I didn't go and tell u how stupid yr wedding ideas were Its my wedding, I know my family, and they are perfectly willing to change out of stuffy dress cloths and relax, eat and have fun.
Hi, can anyone help me with some unique wedding reception ideas?
Would anyone be willing to share some unique ideas for a wedding reception? Ideas you have used or have seen at other receptions for decorating tables as well as cake table, using centerpieces, place settings,using unique items for guestbooks, etc. Not the usual stuff you see all the time. I'm getting married on August 20th and only have 3000 for the wedding. I have already spent 1000 on the church,Reception hall,DJ, and Photographer. So this leaves me 2000 dollars for ever thing else. I'm looking for any cheap ideas for the reception. ThanksMy mom bought my dress so that is not included in the 2000 but flowers will be I have a local shop that is going to work with me at a pretty cheap price. I have to meet with them next month.

Is it tacky cheap having my reception at my house instead of at a venue, I would probably still end up having a caterer, and doing the same decorations either way. I'm just looking for individual peoples opinions.

me and my life long lover are getting married hence the wedding ideas and me and him arent much for dancers or even like to dance and it seems like every wedding NEEDS a dance. ya we'l have a dance for traditions sake and have our first dance and the bride and father dance etc. but we want something more...my fiance insists on a trampoline but i disagreed with kelso lol we decided on fire works but we want more cool stuff, things that most normal everyday weddings dont have. somethin fun and creative but not so dangerous like a trampoline or a champane slip'n'slide.....

Backyard Wedding Reception Ideas!?
My fiance and I are getting married on a budget I want it to be cost effective but also a classy memorable day for us and our guests. We are planning to have it hopefully in a family backyard and have less than 100 guests. Our color scheme is purple white yellow touches, and we are getting marred in early April. I was thinking I would love to do, a pig roast or BBQ of some kind , a crawfish boil, some jambalya or gumbo he is from the south and various side dishes etc. I was thinking that for centre pieces we would use mason jars with candle and flowers in them saw this online and love the look , Hang some mini white lights around for the evening.We would serve a variety of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks and of course rent tables and chairs and have a cake obviously I mentioned these ideas to a friend of mine who totally sort of snubbed my ideas, saying that it was not what I could possilbly want and making me feel inferior for not having a fortune to spend or having someone to finance our who wedding...Does anyone have any ideas for how to make a pig roast more classy or other kind of meat that could be easily prepared? I just want to keep costs as low as possible and I know that food is a place where alot of a wedding budget goes and basically I want to do something memorable and nice....without the huge cost of a formal caterer.

I'm throwing my sister a small wedding reception family friends party, why because her husband too be said he wasnt going to pay for a reception he's cheap my sister it paying for most of their wedding things. so anyways i need some help with some ideas the space is some what small but its ugly what would be a good way of making this space look great and food ideas any ideas would be good.i don't know why my sister is paying for most things the guy makes good money, he just doesnt seem like they need to have a reception if he has to pay for it i want to do this for my sister because shes my only sister and shes upset that there is no reception. i cant tell my sister who to marry and love i just want to be a good sister and show her that even if her husband to be and i dont get along i still care
Fun Wedding reception ideas?
There's only so many times people can go to a wedding and do the chicken dance and cha cha slide before it gets boring. I'm really trying to make my reception about the guests, and how much I love everyone that will be there We're having a rustic themed wedding and it'll be outdoors with an indoor location on site for the reception. So far this is what i've got I want to have horse shoes there for people to playI'm going to have custom made cornhole boards my dads making them and play cornhole all night, then at the end of the reception, I'm going to raffle them away to a guest. I have little activity packets made up for kidsThat's about it, but I really want there to be a lot to do. We have 100 guests, most of which are family and we want to make it as much fun as possible.Any suggestions?Also, I want the reception to have a barbeque kind of feel. It's really going to be a very hillbilly type get together, so I really want it to be fun for my guests.
