Free wedding locations in or near fort myers?
We just need a free place to have the ceremony and reception after? Please help?

Inexpensive wedding locations in Portland, Maine?
My fiance and I are beginning to plan a wedding for early early 2013, we are thinking January. We are planning on about 100 guests and would like to find a place where we can hold the ceremony and reception. I'm from NH and have found a few really good options there but most of his family will be flying into Portland from Portland, OR so they would probably prefer to not have to drive to NH and my family is scattered through out Maine, so Portland would really be the best option. We would like to stay below $5000, with location and food, before taxes. If anyone has suggestions that are even less expensive, I welcome them ha ha The options I've found in NH would allow that and still be elegant but ME really would be more ideal for us. I appreciate suggestions but please understand, I'm looking for venues not ways to cut costs because we already have many ways of doing that. But venue suggestions are more than welcome. Thanks

Good Wedding Locations (Ceremony/Reception)?
Hey Everyone I am getting married next fall oct 5 or 12, 2013 and am trying to think of somewhere do everything. I would like the ceremony and reception locations to either be about a 10 15 min drive apart max, or at the same location. We are planning on about 300 guests. If needed I have been able to cut the list to about 225, but would like to include everyone if we can find a location and if the price is right I would love to have the ceremony outside, with an indoor option if the weather isn't cooperating. I want the reception to be more casual with appetizers, drinks, cake, and dancing. Lots of dancing.Any opinions or information is helpful we are just starting the planning process I realize that 300 people make for an expensive wedding no matter what but we have a decent chunk of money saved. We would like to keep the wedding under 20,000.Dang I knew I was going to leave something out I am near Toledo Ohio. Most of the family is local so I would like to keep it in the area. Not opposed to serving a meal, I just always hear people saying that they get tired of eating the same things at every wedding. Chicken or beef, green beans, potatoes, etc. Thought a large variety of appetizers might be something different but I am open to anything

I live in chicago and going to get married next summer? where is a great beach wedding location?
i also looked into weddings on boats? i wanted to have my own food caterer though.......does anyone know where thats possible?

Where I can find the best wedding Locations for the Price?
I'm looking to get married around July 2012. My fiancee and I would like to have a indoor garden ceremony and indoor reception on site since we are talking July. I found a few places that look good but are very costly as we will be having 100 to 125 guests. Lone Star Mansion previously known as Anabel's Mansion , Gaylord Hotel, Texas Discovery Gardens, Dallas Arboretum, Paradise Cove. I have only been to see the Gaylord Hotel and Dallas Arboretum. Both are beautiful places but are going to cost at least $10,000 for wedding and reception. Am I naive to think I can actually find a place where I can have a ceremony and reception with a meal for around $5,000? I'm not the girl who dreamed of her wedding day since she was 3 years old. I thought it was silly to dream about a single day but I want to be surrounded by my friends and family. For personal reasons, I don't want to be married inside a church, chapel or whatever else it is called now and I don't want to do a Justice of Peace. Is there any place in the Dallas area that might work for me? I'm willing to go drive an hour out from Dallas if there is.

Wedding location advice?
Back story My fiance moved here to go to school but his home town is 3 states away 12 hr drive . He moved back home because he couldn't find a job here. 8 months later he transferred within his company to move back here so we could be together. The agreement was that since he moved back here, we'd move back to his home town after I've finished college.I've really been thinking about a destination wedding because I've just recently been in 2 weddings within 4 months time the planning and little details turn me off and I love the all inclusive deals destination weddings have to offer since I'm in school and work full time and because of expense I've dreamt of my wedding and what it would be like since I was a little girl and it was a wedding at home. We talked to my father about a budget, apparently money isn't an issue and he told me not to make my decision on location based on expense. So I'm thinking if hiring a wedding planner is an option, then I'd like to have a wedding at home. BUT the thing is my fiance doesn't want to get married here this isn't his home town, he doesn't really like this city, and none of his family is here and regardless of where the location is, very few of his family and friends could make it because of the travel expense. My family in the area consists of my mother, father, step mother and her family, and my mother's parents. My mother's parents are extremely important to me and it would make me very very happy if they were there.. but they are sick and I just don't know where they would be health wise in a year and if they could attend. We've thought of having a luncheon after the wedding for those that can't make it but that's extra expense.. why not just have the wedding at home?I am going to marry this man and I love him to death. I don't want to make him do something he doesn't want to do. I don't think that's fair. He doesn't think it's fair to make his family travel for a wedding and mine don't except all my aunts uncles and cousins are traveling out of state . So destination wedding is another compromise. I would like to have a wedding at home but I would also be okay with a destination. I've asked for my mother's advice and her response was " Sorry weddings are about the bride " and I've asked for my soon to be sis n law advice and she agreed with her brother.. and my co worker agrees with my mother and asked me to tell my fiance to stop pretending to be the girl. I need a third party opinion Do I do what I really want to do or do I start compromising?
