Do the bride's parents usually pay for the wedding gown? My daughter has been looking at wedding dresses..?
HiWe are trying to decide whether my daughter should buy a dress she loves but the price is $ 2600 which seems like a lot of money.I mean, obviouslyI want her to have something she likes, but we are on a bit of abudget...I guess I could try and pay it off for her.. she can't really afford it either?I don't know what to do... I mean , there is another dress she " sort of " likes for $1200..I just don't know,.My husband thinks $2000 or more is too much...I sort of agree with him, but don't know what to do..She 'll be 30 in July, and has a little girl from a previous relationship, and has met someone in the past year and become engaged, which of course we are happy about.I just don't know if it's too much money for a dress.. I mean, I think it IS, but... What should I do?

Alright guys the man of my dreams asked me to marry him last night I'm so excited, i feel like a child and I've been looking at dresses already lol and I just have such a small frame I feel like I will look silly in a wedding gown.I am 5 feet tall and 110 lbs. I know not to go with a full skirt but should I stick with a totally straight skirt? And what sort of straps would look good on a petite figure? Hi there. I was married once, when I was 19 years old. I had a destination wedding with only both sets of parents present, but of course I insisted on wearing this gorgeous fancy white gown. It was only worn for the ceremony and dinner as no reception was held. This marriage subsequently failed and I am now considering marriage a second time. Would it be extremely inappropriate to wear the same gown? I have read some blogs on line that say as long as both parties are in acceptance its our choice. My other half sees no sense is purchasing a new gown as the one I have is gorgeous and in mint condition, I myself would like to alter it a bit to make it new. I would rather do that than virtually through $1200 down the drain. Thoughts and ideas? Opinions?

How much growth to allow for maternity wedding gown?
I'm 22 weeks pregnant and will be getting married at 32 weeks of pregnancy. I have to order my dress now and I've got no idea what size I'm likely to be. I'm usually a US size 18 20, and my waist measurement is currently 43" . I've been ill and eating sensibly so the only gain has been from baby. It's an empire line gown that will fall from under the bust, and is made from chiffon. God bless America Thanks cjsmummy. I'm tall and I work a physical job in the trades, as well as doing yoga and swimming, so I have a fair amount of muscle mass. I am carrying too much weight, but it isn't to the point of being especially unhealthy except hard on my joints. I eat fruit, vegetables, bread and cheese not fast foods and junk It's amazing how some people will go out of their way to be ar$eholes. I've lost 5kg over my original weight during the pregnancy due to hyperemesis. I'm expecting growth in girth, rather than weight gain. Someone else estimated an inch a week during the second trimester I'll probably take a guess based on that, estimate it a little larger and allow the dress to fall over the bump. Thanks for your help

I have chosen the Sophia Tolli gown Lizbeth Y11112 . I am having it shipped over from the US. Should I go for the Ivory in an Australian size 10 and have it delievered here in June or should I go for the Diamond white in an Australian size 12 which would arrive in August? I am currently a size 10 but plan on going to a size 8 and my wedding is September 30th 2012. I guess my other question is if I got the size 12 would it be too costly to have it altered?
