Question: In thailand, is there a (catholic) church fee for conducting a wedding ceremony?

If there is, how much? I am planning a wedding in Bangkok, Thailand, but we have no idea if there's a customary church fee or we just need to voluntarily "offer " to the church.

Probably since it's Catholic. You should really ask the church(es) you are thinking about having the ceremony in what their policy on this is. Typically, the priest "asks " you to "donate " around $100-$150 for his matrimonial services. If you two are both non-members of their specific church, it will almost always be higher. The highest rate I've seen for this situation is $500, but I've heard of some as much as $800-$1,000 from fellow planners. Even if only one of you is not a member of the congregation, they almost always increase the "donation " estimate. The best way to go about it is to ask for their "donation "/ fees and if they are too high, simply hint that you are also considering numerous other places and they may drop the fee down a little to a lot. Congratulations!
