Do you have some suggenstions for my wedding center pieces?
Our date is set for 11 11 11. I want to do 3 Ivory candles of different sizes in the center of the table with autumn leaves all around them. Where I need help is what to put the candles on? Any suggestions? I'm thinking a clear plate of some sort or even a birch stump to give it height. Would 3 additional votive bee too much? There will not be a sit down dinner, just butler passed hour derv's.My thought is now to have black table linens, if that helps.Thanks so much, I thought I would have this figured out by now since I worked wedding banquets for so long.
I need ideas for wedding center pieces...?
I am having a beach wedding in July and I still havent figured out what to use as a centerpiece. I need to go with something sort of inexpensive but unique... any ideas?? Also... its hard to get anything where I live because I'm in Japan... I'd have to buy the stuff when I get back to the states for the wedding.
Ideas for wedding center pieces?
My wedding is in June, and we have decided on freshly cut summer flowers for our bouquets so our colors will be a mix of yellow, dark pink, light pink, orange, and purple . We need to find centerpieces that will incorporate this assortment of different flowers. Also the hall we have booked does not allow candles at the guest tables, so there is the issue of how to light the centerpiece as well. Does anyone have any ideas?

Okay I already have my center pieces for my wedding ...they look like a goldfish bowl small but cute inside they have poppurri i believe ...i have a total of 80 long tables...they are combined by twos making 40 REALLY long tables...anyway the center pieces i have are fitting two at each LONG table ...so that is like one at each smaller table ...but in the middle there wont be anything, so i think it will look a bit plain...i am what you can say literally broke right now i really do not have much money to spend no more ..but its until nov so i am willing to save a lil more to add something between each centerpiece...i saw a wedding that had cakes in the middle however im already having wedding cookies...should i had anything else?? or is that more than enough? plz help i want it to look nice ...elegant as much as possible...it was a small wedding but we are up to over 500 guests now so i want them to all be happy...well maybe not all but u know...HELP?Thanks i love the ideas. I really like the rose petals and candles idea. I guess i am worrying too much tahn kyou all

My one friend is allergic to Latex but i am having balloon center pieces. How can I still have the same center pieces without making my friend sick. Please no mean answers like im Bridezilla only caring about my self and not my friends?Oops i forget to add its a him. Sorry for the people that said her.Its ballon flowers and my friends makes them and he is really good at them. I do not care how it looks it my wedding and it saves me money. Me and FH cant afford a big wedding.For the comment about the Enviroment. I recycle everything.Ok I just called him on the phone and he siad he will be ok as long its not on the same table as his.

they are small round tables. About 8 people per table. I am on a tight budget and flowers are just so expensive. Its a spring wedding.

I am geeting married & for the reception I am looking for ideas whether to have flowers balloons.......it was suggested to me that I could have flower arrangement with balloons coming out, but I cant find any pictures to see what this looks like anyone else had flowers & balloons?

i'm having round banquet tables and my centre pieces are large glass fish bowls.. with coloured crushed glass at the bottem, water and then floating candles and gerbera diasies.they don't seem to fill the table though.any ideas improvementsand anyone know what those shiney pebble things are called..if you could please please post pics of your centre pieces

im getting married in august 2010 and i've started planning my wedding now so everything will be very well prepared for my big day i was thinking about different center piece ideas. in the wedding package i bought from the venue , flowers and center pieces are included. the center piece will be placed in a circle or square small vase and will have flowers of my choice. i may go w tall fancy vases for a more elegant look rather than an average look. i also wanted to have candles and petals around the vase but i wanted one more thing.. lol i read somewhere today about a small fish bowl with two fishes represents groom and bride . for some reason, i love this idea. have you ever seen this before? do you think it would look weird? what would be your thoughts on sitting at a table w 2 small fishies swimmin around? my mom thinks its tacky. i think its cute and cool. lol opinions? any advice?10 points will go to the best answer.EDIT at the wedding, there will be no kids except the ring bearer and the two flower girls. the fish wouldve been in a very tall vase where the only way someone can get to them is if they purposely tipped over the vase and removed the flowers.EDIT i visited a pet store yesterday and asked the worker about the fishes available and told him about my idea.after talking to him and learning more about the fishes, i learned that i could only get a " comic fish" i think thats the name of the fish and i think thats how you would spell it or a betta fish. those are the only two fish that can live in tap water without an air filter. i also learned that two male betta fish can not be in the same tank because they will attack eachother. the male betta fish are the cute ones and female ones are ugly.. in my opinion.i decided NOT to go with the idea. although i loved the idea, i think it'll be too risky. had it been a regular party, i wouldve went for it but being that its a wedding, i dont want to take the risk of people being grossed out and walking out on my big day.i may do this for my rehersal dinner though since there will be less people and whoever leaves, i dont care. lolthanks for all the answers
Is this wedding center piece a fire hazard?
I have a bird cage with 2 artificial birds on the top outside of the cage, and an open pillar candle inside with no globe or holder. Would it be a fire hazard if I put the feathers either inside the cage with the candle, or put the feathers outside surrounding the cage itself?I think the safest bet would be putting a globe around the candle and the feathers on the outside of the cage
