Need help with wedding catering?
Ok my several women in my family have offered to help put the reception food together instead of hiring a caterer. So we need help figuring out how much food to cook for around 60 70 people. Our menu is going to go something like hotdogs, bbq pork sandwhiches, coleslaw,baked beans, and maybe either chips or potato salad. Just need a way of figuring out how much food to buy and prepare.
Cheap wedding catering?
Getting married and don't have a lot of money to work with. Wondering if there are people just starting out on the catering business and if their prices would be better, but we want someone who will do a good job. It would be for a sit down meal no buffet for around 60 guests in Sydney. Please no answers suggesting just having snacks or orderves as I want a proper sit down 2 3 course evening meal for my guests.
Is an up charge typical in wedding catering contracts for increasing food prices?
First Upcharge is likely not the actual term.My Aunt brought this up and I'd never heard of it. She says if you sign contract for set price of catering, that it will include a max. percentage upcharge should there be a substantial increase in the price of food served between the time of the signing and the event. I thought when you signed the contract, that is what you pay. Is this actually common and, if so, what would the percentage normally be? I don't know if the place we are considering has this, but forwarned is forarmed, as they say.We are currently leaning towards having our wedding and reception at a restaurant due to some health problems of some family members.

Olive garden wedding catering?
So I have been looking through different catering companies for my wedding and honestly a lot of the food looks disgusting and some of it I can't even tell what it is because it looks so fancy and they want like $4000 for it this is way out of the budget. So we were thinking about renting some chafers and doing like chicken fettuccini, cheese raviolis, 5 cheese ziti and a lasagna. Nobody actually has to know that it's from Olive Garden... along with that we were going to have a bunch of breadsticks rolls from a local bakery and hey maybe even some of the olive garden breadsticks mixed in there p I would also like to make a salad bar for everyone to make their own salad. Then have a table with fruits and other goodies to dip in a chocolate fondue fountain. Does this sound like a good idea? give me your opinions I am open to suggestions Yep Olive Garden does do take out in big quantities for a good price
Working out wedding catering for 90 people?
I am getting married in a couple of months, and we're getting our friends to cook all the food for us. It will be a cold buffet of sausages, chicken drumsticks and loads of different salads coleslaw, pasta salad etc . now the meat is easy, i think we will allow 4 or 5 of each thing for each guest. But I am a bit stumped with the salads there are 90 guests, there'll probably be 6 or 7 different types of salad is there an easy way of working it out?

My Caterer backed out at the last minute. I have 1 month to find something, someone ANYTHING I looked at the grocery stores catering and WOW WAY too much. Should we just try and pull it together ourselves? We are only having finger foods I think it would be pretty easy? Any other ideas? The wedding is in a small town so no restaunts to cater for us I am thinking self serve Pulled BBQ pork just toss in a big crock pot Buy a few veggie traysFruit Salad sams sells frozen in large bags Pasta Salad I have an easy recipe that feeds 100 Chips or Crackers set out in bowlsSoda and PunchThis way the only thing we need to make is the easy pasta salad. Wedding Catering HELPPP!?
I'm really freaked out about catering for my wedding.I really would loveee to go with the Cuinary Arts School as a caterer. But I want to hear from people who may have done this before. If you have please respond, and were you able to get dishes, linen, etc, and what was the cost??The wedding will be in Los Angeles.Thinking of three appt. like chicken drummettes, stuffed mushrooms, and meatballs with sweet and sour sauce.. and simple meal chicken breast, garlic mashed potatoes, vegtable medley, and rolls.
