7 8.30ish im serving a 3 course meal, then a bit later in the evening ill offer wedding cake to those who want it. thing is the last few weddings ive attended that have done it that way, only around 50 % guests ate anyso i dont know whether to order a cake big enough for 100 people or not?My venue says if you order a sit down meal it has to be 3 courses and they dont deal with wedding cakes...so i cant replace dessert with wedding cake. i mean, i know i will want wedding cake that night also wedding cake photos so im just wondering about how big a cake to order. what do you think?thanks sods laws says if i order a smaller cake everyone will want some so im leaning to get one full sized or i could just get a top layer carboard bottom for photos?

I proposed to my wife 6 months ago We've been dating for 8 years and she and her daughter has lived with me for 5 years and we just started planning for the wedding 2 months ago. Now my wife and I are on the same page with everything else except the cake. She wants chocolate cake with chocolate cupcakes. Now I will admit that it does fit the theme but I'm allergic to chocolate so I wanted a nice vanilla cake. Ironically she's allergic to vanilla. I think she should suck it up and let me have my cake cupcakes, because my wife use to work at McDonald's she was poor. and she was a single mother. Now me, I own a few car dealerships and Idk, I was in the mood for McDonald's one day, I met her and we just started clicking. So obviously we ended up dating. Now I never throw her background in her face for the simple fact that I grew up poor and I know what it's like. But I feel like I'm never appreciated, I buy her clothes, jewelry, designer bags. Not saying that I'm rich but I have some money but that doesn't mean I like spending it on stupid stuff like glasses with no fucking design on them, but I love her so much and her daughter. I do it for her. She is a brat but I spoiled her and I kinda don't mind because I know she truly does love me. She just never thinks about me, and she thinks money grows on trees. She's not a hood rat, she actually has class when I'm out at cocktail parties with my friends which is another reason why I love her. But Idk, I mean I'm the supporter, she doesn't even clean or cook I have a maid for it. I'm spending money on this wedding, this big fucking wedding. I wanted a nice, traditional SMALL wedding, but here she goes she wants the crystals and a princess wedding. Which I can afford but it's not about that why do we need 500 fuck or even 200 people at our wedding? I don't ask for much just that we have a vanilla cake cupcakes on my wedding day. I already can't eat any of the other foods I dislike the foods she picked, she's aware but begged me to let her have them because there her favorites. I need help.

Wedding cake - Buttercream vs Fondant?
Hello I am not sure what to do about my wedding cake. On the one hand, I've heard that using a fondant keeps the cake moist inside and keeps the icing from melting. On the other hand, buttercream is cheaper and it seems we can choose from lots of tasty flavors not sure what fondant tastes like I haven't done my tastings yet but would like to go in with a clearer idea of what I'm looking for. Am also putting together a budget so any information is good.More details Our wedding is in late October so maybe we won't have the problem of melting buttercream? Not sureThanks for any input
