Is long term boyfriend string me along - is there a future as in marriage.?
Met boyfriend abroad, as he was there for work. He was leaving Canada 4 months later, so we kept in touch for a year and i relocated my job to London to be with him.He lived 200 miles away, so we saw each other at weekends in Britian and finally we are now living together and very happy. We are together 4 years, and have always talked about going back to Canada together. But now he has been telling his friends that he may not get a visa for Canada as he is studying at college. He has said to several friends, " I am not marrying for a visa" .I thought marriage was a next step, which we had talked about before, but now he will not talk about it anymore, we are now both 30.I am ready, and he is the one for me.I feel he is having cold feet, am i am getting homesick. My friends think he does not know what he wants.

Is marriage NOT good for someone who does NOT want love nor commitment? I think it's best to stay single here?
I am a very independent person & I am NOT fond of making long term committed relationships. I like my independence. I'd be cheating some guy if I married him if I do NOT want love nor commitment. I prefer a job, money, travel & pets. I think it's understandable, no? My fmaily says I'll regret not marrying, but I don't feel that way. To me, husbands and children are overrated & NOT fullfilling. I prefer carteer and money instead. For lonel iness, I can have roommates and for love, I'll keep a pet as my companion. What do u say?

Would a failed marriage or failed career make you feel worse? Which & why? Failed career for me. You? Why?
I feel that if I failed in my career, that it'd be more sad and make me feel worse than if I failed my marriage, for the most part. Careers make whom you are as a person, and what you give to society, and more importantly, put food on the table and a roof over my head. Marriage doesn't. If you don't have money, you can't have a good marriage in many cases. As they say, 'no money, no honey.' Love doesn't last as long as security does. I feel that a failed marriage would hurt more than a failed career. You? Why?

What percent of marriages end in divorce for same sex and heterosexual couples?

Why is love lacking in marriages?

What paperwork must be completed after marriage vows?
In Canada, what paperwork must be completed after the vows in a marriage are over? Thanks

Am I the only one who does NOT have marriage as a goal in her life? I prefer a good career over marriage?
I mean, marriage is okay, but it's NOT for me. I don't care for love nor do I want it. I personally am quite content with a good job and lots of money. I simply do NOT get the same gratification from a man that I do from my job. However, I feel guilty about this b c every other woman wants to marry. Am I weird? I do NOT feel that lifelong love is for me and I don't care to have it. If I have a god career, money & pets and roommates, and travel & good hobbies, that's more than enough for me. NOT everyone wants love, contrary to populr belief. Is this wrong? Am I alone in this?

Boyfriend mentioned kids and marriage? ?
My boyfriend and I have been together a month, dating a couple months, and have exchanged the L word. A few weeks ago, he randomly asked me while cuddling how many children i planned on having one day. Then if I had a favorite name for a child picked out. I thought it was a little odd, and he stammered. Yesterday, we were laying next to the pool, and he had his hand spread across my stomach, and out of the blue asked, " At what age do you plan on having kids?" And we had this lengthy discussion on age vs maturity and financial and emotional stability.Later last night, we were talking by the way...were not having sex. I plan to stay a virgin til I marry and hes been VERY respectful of that. The most we do is make out and rub and I said something about " I want to be able to look the man i marry in the eye and tell him i waited for him." He paused, then said, " I want like to be that guy. I would like to marry you some day. One step at a time. Would you say yes to that, someday?" I smiled and told him yes. He continued, " I want to go places with you. Travel. Wake up next to you every day and tell you good morning. Go in the grocery store with you and drive you crazy hes great at this. he makes me nuts but in the best way ." I said something about my friend who i worked with, who had an internship 2hrs from her boyfriend last summer, but they made it through the summer. And how now shes getting read to graduate, and theyre engaged. He said, " I would like our story to go about like that." I said, " you mean make it thru the summer?" " That too, but i meant the ending..." Does this man mean these things? CAN he mean these things at 21 years old? Were entering our senior year of uni. Or is he just setting me up to play me? And neither of us believe in " living together."

How can I convince my boyfriend with the marriage idea?
I have been dating my boyfriend for 6 months now and we were admiring each other secretly for a year and finally we told each other for our feelings and we have been in a relation now... I'm 26 old and he is 30 we are just perfect together and we deeply in love and i'm sure that he is the one for methe problem is he is so much hesitate about the idea of getting married and he refused every conversation around this i'm sure that he loves me so much and wants to spend his life with me but without married i don't know how can i convience him with the marriage idea No i don't want to get married either now but i'm talking about the idea of marriage he refused it by all means and i just want to make sure that he will marry me some dayP.S. I'm arabian and we can't live together without married

If you want a happy marriage as a woman, is it better to get a man from Asia/Africa? They divorce less there?
I mean, men from Asian nations like Cambodia, Kenya, etc have VERY LOW DIVORCE RATES. I'm of Asian heritage myself, and I find that men raised there tend to be proud of being men and being devoted to their women & do NOT run out as easily as men do in the West. Thus, if you want a happy marriage, isn't it understandable to try there? Men from the US, Canada, Europe, etc are overrated. They view marriage as a joke, most of them. I think most men from back there are better.Nigerians and Thais have very low divorce erates as they tend to value msarriage there. Are men from Asia africa a better source for marital bliss?
