How to tie a garden wedding ceremony into a beach front reception? (Wedding advice)?
We are getting Married in the garden of an old mansion. We will then have our 'after party' reception at a venue with floor to ceiling glass looking onto a beach. Basically, if the glass wasn't there, you could touch the sand Is it silly for us to be having a garden wedding ceremony at an old mansion and then head off to this beach fronted reception venue for the after party? We've always wanted a garden wedding with the bonus of an old mansion old house to have our photo's in.How could we tie the garden themed ceremony into the bayside venue? My partner would also like to be in a coat and tails. ANY ideas in terms of flowers, table arrangements, decorations, music, cake, cars.. anything advice is so very welcome.

What is the best time of year to have a garden wedding?
I currently live in central New Jersey and would like to have my wedding ceremony in a garden We picked a wedding date which is September 21, 2012. However, it is not set in stone and we wouldn't mind to change it. When do you think this the best time of year to have a garden wedding? fun, unique, different.... it will be an early afternoon wedding..with appetizers in a garden. some ideas I already have put colorful teacups filled with different kinds of candy on the tables for people to enjoy, disposable cameras on the tables for people to use, have a display set up somewhere with my and my fiance's baby and child photos and another display with our engagement photos. looking for more ideas. thanks. Not us but I heard a couple is doing this...she is VERY short 4 feet something and he is VERY tall over 6 feet ..so when the officiant says " you may kiss the bride" ..the bride will reach behind her..grab a small stool..step on it to kiss him. So she'll be standing on a stool so she can reach him easily. I think this is something unique, fun, and a cute surprise for the guests...i would like to have something like that.

Outdoor/woodland/garden wedding venues in UK?
We are planning a wedding for next summer, and our dream is to hold it somewhere outside ideally near woodland, or just a field of wild flowers. We want quite a bohemian hippie style do nothing too formal, so really aren't suited to the usual hotel registry office church options. I'm looking for a garden venue for my wedding. I'm having a less than traditional wedding and we both want an English countryside feel to it. We live in Frisco, if that helps any. We're willing to travel up to about two hours, but no more. Our family lives in deep east Texas.
