Cute wedding favour ideas?

Question: Cute wedding favour ideas?

(Posted by: on 2012-02-01 10:49:25)

Hi, my partner and I are getting married in 6 weeks (so yes I know we're cutting things fine but this wedding has been planned last minute). We want something a bit different for our wedding favours. I have thought about little mini jams saying 'spread the love' or something equally cheesy. However, I'm having a little trouble sourcing these. Do you have any other ideas to help us, or other suggestions? :) Thank you! Everything else is sorted. We haven't only planned it in 6 weeks, we have 6 weeks left. Favours are the only thing remaining :). I love the idea of something special to take away so we definitely want something. We have kept things relatively small and only have 53 daytime guests so it won;t be too expensive either :)

Instead of trying to source mini jams as wedding favours in themselves - look for a website that does pretty stick on labels then you can buy the mini jams yourself and stick them on. Simples! should be able to buy mini jams from supermarkets blissweddingsmarket.com/ store/ 000074.htm partywraps.com/ personalized_label_favors.htm Anythign edible/ drinkable makes a good favour, candy, jam, cookies, etc Candles are pretty too - and i always use them. i disagree with the idea that wedding favours are rubbish and nobody uses them etc etc. I think it they are chosen well theyre lovely imperial-foods.com/ j0102.html site has a case of mini jams for 54 dollars...each on 0.75 There are probably cheaper options tho x

You may be able to get the small jars of jam from Smuckers or Knotts Berry Farm, but this can get expensive. Food is always the best favor IMHO. We did candy roses for our daughters wedding. Each rose had a different irish saying or blessing...most were funny ones. It was fun watching the people at each of the tables reading their limerick/ blessing out loud to each other and laughing. It was a great way for conversations to get started and break the ice if people didn't know each other.....And the roses were tasty!

I think that wedding favors are a waste of time and money under the best of circumstances. If I were planning a wedding in 6 weeks, I'd never consider wasting time on favors. Or, you could look at these: etsy.com/ listing/ 67380298/ 100-little-bit-of-heaven-15oz-jars-of?ref= sr_gallery_3 &sref= &ga_search_query= small+ jars+ of+ jam &ga_view_type= gallery &ga_ship_to= US &ga_search_type= handmade &ga_facet= handmade cudge.net/ catering_detail22.html?gclid= CJe8sfjD_a0CFQMgpAodGG5eug You know, you could probably buy full size jars at Walmart for just as cheap - Then replace the labels with something clever.

I'm doing a candy bar, set up big jars of different kind of candy with little personalized baggies. or homemade cookies if your family is willing to get invovled. So much fun!!!

Make cds with your favorite songs & your names and wedding date call it "share the love " or use conversation hearts or dove heart shaped candy, put them in tulle bags(from the dollar store,) tie with ribbon and print out labels that say your names, wedding date and "share the love " or from dollar stores, get small candle holder and scented tea light candles and do the above in bags, etc... but put the "share the love " label on the clear candle holder.
