Do I have to wear my bridal gown throughout the reception?
I was thinking of wearing it only until the dancing starts, and then changing into a dress in the same style as my bridesmaids a short strapless number for the comfort of myself and longevity of my dress. I think it would be cute to buy a red version of their candy pink dresses my colors are red, light pink, white and silver , so I can still feel like 'the bride' but be comfortable and coordinated on the dancefloor. Opinions?As for the red comment, I agree that red is a suitable color. It represents passion, not necessarily sexuality orange is the color of sexuality as well as creativity . Just like in most Eastern countries white is seen as death, and few brides would be caught in the color.Also, bridesmaid dresses aren't offered in white. At least not at David's Bridal.

I dont want to wear all white on my wedding day i am the bride but me and my fianceAre a very unique couple.we picked navy blue white and silver as our colors. I bought my wedding gown at a local bridal shop. I only spent $100 on it because it was on sale. It's a simple long white gown, its really pretty, dont get me wrong. We were only having a small, intimate wedding so it fit perfectly. Now, our plans changed and the wedding itself is getting bigger and bigger by the day. So, my bridal party thinks I should get a more elaborate gown. I agree, but I can't afford to buy a whole other gown. we're paying for the wedding all alone . I found a dress I LOVE on iloveonsale.com it's only $136 though...Do you think that the dresses are worth it quality wise or is it a legit site? For ALL bride to be.... I don't know what your budget on dresses is, but if....Let's say a dress originally cost $800 from David's Bridal, brand new.Would you consider buying the same dress used? It will have been worn once, but has been altered. I had my dress readily available to buy. However friends of mine have never heard of this and are wondering what " kind" of store I got it from. My friend is going to get her dress ordered which will take 5 months. So, I sensed that they didn't think I probably had a real wedding gown since it was not ordered. What was the big deal? I went to a bridal store and found a dress I liked and bought it. So, what's the difference?

Bridal gown shopping companion?
I am new in this country and getting married in less than a year. My dilemma is since I don't know anybody in this country except my fiancee, is it advisable to bring your fiancee to the bridal shop or should I just go alone? The main problem is my fiancee is extremely opinionated and straight forward to a fault I am worried if he's gonna say something harsh it could really hurt my feelings, at the same time who would want to go shop for your bridal gowns alone?
