Which wedding invitation picture should we use?
We are putting a picture of us on the front on a extremely nice card so I was wondering, should the picture be casual, showing us how we are or a fancy one, us dressed up? Proper wedding invitation wording?
My fiancee and I are getting married on a cruise ship. We've filled up the 'free' seats and every additional seat is 30 dollars. That's not in our budget so I have to word in the invitations somehow that if they want to come, instead of a gift, they can pay the 30 dollars per person. They can't come if they don't pay or someone pays for them or what not. I just can't find a way to properly word it in a small wedding invitation. 'In lieu of gifts, please honor us with your presence' was one way but how do I put in that it's 30 dollars a person? Anybody have any ideas on how to word it tastefully?
How do you pick wedding color schemes? Purple vs. Blue and accent colors?
I'm having a summer wedding June 2013 , and I'm having trouble deciding how to pick my color scheme. I've been to multiple websites, but they don't seem to help. I'm thinking periwinkle, cornflower blue, maybe a brighter blue, and possibly some light purples as options. I don't know what accent colors go well with any of those, though. Does anyone know of websites where I can see the contrast of these colors accent colors? I feel so lost in this process.
I dont want to go to my moms wedding?
ok me and my partner have very very strong feelings towards her fiance hes an addict,a registered sex offender,a sex addict druggie and alcoholic.Has a bad personality.He doesn't deserve to be happy and I cant stand being in his presence.I avoid him as much as possible and cant utter a word to him unless it is something negative.I really really dont want to go to the wedding.What should i do? Do I invite my mean future mother-in-law to a wedding she doesn't approve of?
Building on my previous wedding question, I have one detail that I've been trying to avoid because frankly, it's uncomfortable. At the time of the wedding, my fiance and I will have been together for close to five years. Before I even said a peep, she hated me. At first, I assumed it was because she thought I might be taking her little boy away, so I remained patient and polite. I even tried researching her culture she isn't from here and bought her a bracelet. Not only would she not accept it, but she would not give it back. It really breaks my heart because I love her son so very much, and would treat her so well if she would just let me. Since she's openly disapproving and makes nasty comments about me, so should I invite her to the wedding? I don't want to ruin my special day. Honest opinions and comments are very appreciated I wanna do the right thing. Thanks.Just so everyone knows, I did NOT ask for the bracelet back. My fiance just told me that she basically threw it off to the side instead of politely giving it back.

Colors for a country theme wedding?
I decided to have a country theme wedding.One of the colors is for sure Aqua. I want to have 1 other main color then have a 3rd color as an accent.I would use brown, but my fiance hates that color.Oh and its septemberI was thinking about Aqua, Chocolate brown and a pale yellow but like I said the brown color...no orange.. How much should a groom be involved in the wedding planning?
My fiancee and I live pretty far from our families and we're having our wedding where we live. Since our families are traveling to us it's pretty much on us to plan the wedding. We have a wedding planner so we're not alone but I'm starting to wonder if I'm way more involved than a groom should be. When we start arguing over wedding details I'm left wondering do other grooms deal with this too or is it because I'm stuck playing the role the mother usually has. I always hear that brides have a tough time dealing with their mothers and now I think I'm filling that role and I don't think it's healthy for our relationship but I can't just tell her she's on her own planning the wedding.
