About Me:     Phone (719) 471-2500, ext. 1 My name is Steve Roberts, and I have a passion to open your eyes to how incredible you are. I know this sounds a bit reckless. Afterall, I don't know you and you may think you're just a crappy piece of dog pooh. However, I happen to believe (and experientially know) that the dog pooh is just a cover for the real you. It's just a coping mechanism (among many) that helps you make some sense out of this existence. I've had my own dog pooh years, in fact quite a few of them. Growing up in a family that never really "got" me, I lived a depressed life for many years. Fortunately, I married Pam, my partner in searching for what the heck this life is supposed to be about. Then began the real journey. We tried being volunteer caretakers at a church camp, going to seminary, and co-pastoring in the Church. While not completely satisfying and definately a pain in the behind at times, this period did lead to our real ministries: Pam as a "CPE Supervisor" who trains chaplains and others to do pastoral care, and myself as a pastoral counselor, marriage counselor, and all around help-you-see-your-light counselor. Now, at the ripe old age of 56 (look at that young face in the picture!) and having been married 30 years, I am feeling led more and more to the keyboard to create some kind of experience with words. Still, the 20 years of counseling is not going away. I maintain a full time practice, am Director of Counseling for Centered Life: Education, Counseling & Spiritual Care in Colorado Springs, CO, USA., and delve into the Mystical aspects of faith and spiritual experience. Along the way, I've had a few additional interests: a nearly life long model railroading hobby, a decade learning to trade the commodity markets profitably (it took 8 years to become profitable, only 2 to then lose interest!), and now a number of years learning the internet marketing trade. Having grown up with Quarter horses and Shetland ponies I knew a never wanted to muck out barns again. Never did I dream I would be dealing again with horse manure. But my wife has the horse bug, along with 3 Belgian Draft Horses, a Shire-Paint mix, and a Morgan. . . . . . =>  And, somewhere as I journeyed I shed a little of the stench of dog pooh from time to time. It took years of therapy, many blind alleys, and much perseverence, but I shine much brighter these days. And the brighter the Light I see, the more easily I see the glow in You.
