Did you end up with the babys dad at a teenage pregnancy?

Question: Did you end up with the babys dad at a teenage pregnancy?

(Posted by: 7moreweeks:) on 2010-03-01 18:28:19)

I am 16 and im pregnant i told my mom today and she says i can never see my bf again but i still call him and the whole time even before i was pregnanthe said he would never leave me or the baby because he loves us and hes not raised that way and i believe him he is very different hes hard to explain but he always gives you his word and actually does what he promises he is a really good person.so i KNOW we will end up together but my mom is pushing him out the picture when i want him in it and he does too.I feel so sad I cant be happy right now anyways my question is did you ever end up with your babies dad? I love him so much we been together a long time I cant see my baby and me without him hes really helped me alot

I got pregnant at 18 i stayed with the father of my daughter for 6 years in total we had been together over a year before she was born. In the end it was bad I just wasn't happy anymore. We had both grown up and grown apart and I wanted to go a different way than him. When we broke up I was a different person than what I was 18. At 16 you are really too young to decide who you are going to be with. You still have a lot of growing to do and so does he. Yeah it may work for awhile but when you start living together and your older and have college to think about etc. You may find that you want your life to go a different way than what he wants his to go. Right now I wouldn't be concerned about him and your I would be concerned about the baby and making sure you are eating right and treating your body right. And how you are going to pay for what the baby needs.

I'm sorry to say it but......I'm 31 and I've never met anyone who's relationship has survived a teenage pregnancy. It still doesn't mean that you couldn't try. For now your parents are well within their rights to keep you from him but once the baby comes they will not be allowed to deny his parental rights (unless it's a statutory rape issue). Whether the two of you will make it for the long haul has nothing to do with the fact that you are forever bound by this child and any future grandchildren. So no matter what happens don't let it get ugly. Also, you should quit having sex until you are self supporting. Your parents nor the system should have to provide for children that you can't. If you need pleasure that bad "take matters into your own hands " but I doubt you'll have much left for sex once the baby gets here. Good luck and sleep now, you're in for on hell of a ride.
