Socially inept nerd wants to learn how to develop a romantic relationship?
I'm a 27 year old anime game geek who has never been in a relationship, and sadly stereotypically finds the entire courtship process to be more than a little daunting. I'm not horrifically out of shape, and I communicate well in virtually any other circumstances school, work, friends, etc. , so, from my perspective, it's more a lack of understanding of the courtship process i.e. how to recognize a girl is interested in me, how to approach a girl I'm interested in without coming across as the creepy fellow who couldn't get a date to save his life, which is sadly the path I'm headed down at this rate . Can anyone point me in a direction where I can learn more about the courtship process? Web sources work, as do books to be recommended as well. This may seem like an unusual problem, or possibly hard to understand how someone can have this much trouble understanding something like this but it's something I've struggled with tremendously for some time now, and want to attempt to learn how to proceed. As I said, in many ways I'm a stereotypical geek, I can function in social situations but tend to be a bit awkward, and suffice to say that confidence isn't something I have in any great abundance. Any and all help would be appreciated, and to those who read through this entire text deluge, I thank you for your time and patience.
Why do people think that romantic relationships are common at a young age?
I am a regular, single, straight, 32 year old guy from Long Island. I have always heard how romantic relationships are so great and necessary to a fulfilling life, etc. I have also heard how dating and romance begin in one's teens and intensifies well into one's 20s and 30s. However, I have not yet even had a girlfriend or even a first kiss. Of course, I would like to have experienced all of this, but it's just not happening, despite my doing everything right in life.Is anyone else experiencing something similar?

Should I give up on her and a romantic relationship?
I am a high school junior guy, about to be a senior, and I am in lots of trouble here I want to date this girl, she says she's not ready...read on.There's an amazing girl whom I've known for about 3 years. In the last year or so our relationship has really elevated we've gone from just saying hi at youth group and church to being really close. We've had hours long conversations in person late at night, we text sometimes and I see her every week, whether it's at church, youth, or just hanging out. I've slept over at her house dozens of times but nothing happened between us...don't worry . I am really good friends with her entire family, including her brother who is my age we were friends before I was friends with her and her parents and older sisters. She's 19. I'm 16. Yeah, I know, big difference. Anyway, we were alone in her car one night, heading home from a church event, and I decided to tell her how I felt about her that I like her as more than a friend. I did, and she basically said that she kinda knew this was coming she's smart, so I expected her to pick up on it and that she did not feel spiritually sound about dating anyone. She has never had a boyfriend, never kissed a guy, so I think that she may be telling the truth. She also said that she could see herself dating someone like me, just not now. Honestly, I think she just doesn't like the age difference and was trying to beat around the bush and say it nicely even though I asked her abut it outright . I asked if we could still be friends, she said yes, and we parted for the night.A couple weeks later, I went over to her house and was hanging out with her and her brother and we all were sitting on their dock they live on a lake . Her brother, who is totally clueless, said he was tired blahblahblah and went inside to bed at like 10pm. Me and her sat out there until 2 am when her dad had locked the house, we had to sneak in, and then we stayed up until 3 30 playing the books version of I spy and talking. We went to bed in separate rooms and I left the next morning before she got up.2 weekends ago, I took her to my high school prom as a friend she looked awesome and danced with me, so I couldn't really have asked for more. She wasn't very talkative around my friends as she didn't know any of them, but we still had fun and all my friends think I'm totally awesome because I took a college girl to prom haha. We left a little early because she didn't feel good and we got back to my house, I gave her a hug, thanked her, and she left for her house in her car. It's been like 2 weeks and we've been talking often, texting more than usual. She just got back from a cruise so I asked her how It was etc she said good I'm tired blah blah blah you know, normal stuff. So basically, I just want to know if you guys or girls think that I should just give up now. I've been pursuing a relationship with her for months, she knows how I feel about her, and yet we are not together. I really am open to any answers, as I am somewhat prepared to give up, but also prepared to press onward. Cheerio
What is the best way to maintain a romantic relationship with a Jehovah's Witness?
I am 32. GF is 30. I have never been married and have no kids. She is twice divorced with 8 yo daughter. I am generic christian, not reallly too devout, but not a horrible person either. She changed religions like the wind but has been studying with some Jehovah's Witnesses for about a year. She has not joined their cult yet. I am not sure if she will. They teach her that I am demonic and possessed by Satan. I can't stand JWs, they are retarded. We have fought about it enought that we no longer even discuss religion. I realize that the objective of the Watchtower is to alienate prospective members from those who would discourage joining. They are actively trying to get her to leave me. All other non JW people who are familiar with the situation tell me that I should leave her because she is going way overboard with the notion that everyone and everything in the world is " demonic." I don't really want to leave her because I do love her.Basically, I am looking for advice on how to keep the relationship together without getting involved with the JWs. I would love for her to quit studying with them but dare not say so for fear that this will only embolden her. I have already quit bashing them around her because that drove her closer to them and in her mind proved that I was in fact " demonic" I figure that if I don't talk about religion then she can't call me demonic. As I see it here are my options 1 dump her, JWs are crazy and won't get any better2 keep her, try to convince her to stop the JW crap3 keep her, just remain quiet and don't talk about religion, hope it blows over and she changes religions AGAIN this is the 4th change Any help?Just to preempt the JWs here GO AWAY I DO NOT CARE WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY

Boyfriend doesn't want a romantic relationship??? Help!!!?
My boyfriend and I are both 16. We have been together for 16 months. We broke up a few weeks ago, and got back together. Everything is the same the way we joke with each other, we're like best friends, and the sex but the romance is different. I definitely don't feel he is as romantic as he was say, last year.I asked him about it tonight. He swears he wants to be with me, that he loves me and I'm his world. But he doesn't want the relationship we had last year. He wants more joking and fun, but not to focus on romance as much. What I mean by romance, is writing long notes to each other, and telling each other how much we mean to each other all the time, stuff like that.I asked him why he doesn't want romance, and he says it's because he's grounded, so it's hard to be romantic over the phone. And also, that he doubts anything can compare to what we had last year. I honestly have NO CLUE what to do. Advice??
How hard is it to have a romantic relationship with a muslim man when you are a christian?
Do you agree that the type of romantic relationships we are in is a reflection of....?
....the type of relationship we have with our parents?I asked this question because i was inspired by a show that i watched earlier.I was watching this show earlier and this girl was a third party in a marriage. And it turns out that she has a rough childhood, she doesn't have a good relationship with her parents, so she turned to romantic relationships for comfort, but those men whom she seek relationships always turned out to be " emotionally unavaliable" .Do you agree that the type of romantic relationship we get into is actually a reflection of the relationship we have with our parents?
Can I have romantic relationship with my Professor?
I'm a 24 year old female,I know that he's never been married , doesn't have kids and his is not gay.I do think there is some mutual attraction going on between us. From both sides he always is looking to make a conversation with me, always using me as an example in his class and trying to found more about me, like he asked me if I like Finland and I say " I love it" , then he asked me if I like Japan and I say " yes, I know some Japanese words" and we end up talking Japanese cause he knew how to speak Japanese. We have a lot of things in common and I can just feel a really good connection. I'm usually the first person to think, " Oh, this guy doesn't really like me, he's just a nice guy," but I think I'm right on this one, even my three close friends noticed he have preference with me and he don't treat other girls as he treat me, don't get me wrong he treat everyone equally but he always going near me and he get really nervous when he look me at the eyes, I willing to take night classes but the problem is, he teach at night too, heck I even can maintain the relationship in secret because I don't want people thinking I am screwing him for my grade when I am straight A student in all classes, also I was trying to figure out if the University has some rules about Student Professor relationship but I can't find any solid evidence that says we absolutely cannot be involved romantically.
Is it legal to have romantic relationship with your former teacher at college level?
I am a 25 year old girl and I go to college. I have a young single teacher that I like a lot and I think he has feelings for me too. However, I am not sure if it is legal to have a romantic relationship with my teacher after the semester is over or not. It is also my last semester in that school, since I'm transferring to university,I don't know if it makes any changes or not.

Whats the difference between friendship and romantic relationship?
What's the difference between friendship and romantic relationship? The bf of over a year and I are supposedly in a committed relationship. We fight all the time lately. We cant even look at each other without an argument. I found a box of rubbers in his night stand, not sure if they were there before my time. Why would he still have them if we are in a committed relationship and planning to move in together.
