The best advice I've been given is that they key to a long relationship is to have fun with each other. I think sometimes couples who have been together for a long time let other things in life come between them like money issues, work problems, etc. that they forget how to communicate with each other and forget how to have fun together. That's one reason why my boyfriend and I get along so well, we're always laughing and being open and honest with each other. I love to laugh and he loves to tell jokes, I think especially with Americans we're too uptight and stressed. Relax and live life to the fullest yes we all need money but you won't be taking money to the grave with you so chill out a little bit.

2 actually. 1- you two are the most important people you will ever serve a meal to. You are the king and queen of your castle, so EAT OFF THE GOOD CHINA SOMETIMES!!! My mom told me this cause I never used my china because I was always waiting on the important guests. 2- If he will cheat with you, he will cheat on you. My friend told me that.

Know when to end a relationship, and don't stay for the sake of it, or because you're afraid of ending up alone.

"Support her no matter what. When she screams at night, hold her. When she cries, wipe her tears away. Even though she seems sad all the time, it's not you, it's her past. Love her unconditionally and she'll be the happiest woman alive. " My dad said that on our wedding day :) It works. @quid Milfs are the best.

Never lie to your spouse

On my wedding day my dad reminded us both that we're now a married couple. That means our home is with each other. No running back "home " when we argue or things don't go our way. It means you don't go confide in others when you're not happy. Instead of running away from your problems, turn toward each other and figure it out.

When my first love dumped me at 16 my dad said I know this may suck but this isnt the only time in your life that you will be hurt like this. Boy was he right!

Love yourself first, and without trust in a relationship, there's no love

If you are caught singing a cristmas carol to yourself out of season, then you are still in love. :)
