A little help with wedding planning?
My long time bf and I got engaged last year, but things became crazy so we put the wedding on hold. We recently re started planning and decided to change everything. I have a few questions Our wedding will be vintage style, I was thinking pinks and whites are those good colors? The wedding is planned for August would it be too hot to have the ceremony outside? What types of tables would be best for a big wedding long tables or round tables? Is it okay if a bride wears a short ish type of wedding dress? Or is that trashy?Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks oodles The wedding will be in Maine near a lake.And thank you.
How can I get into the wedding planning business?
I'm currently in my sophomore year of undergrad studies in business management and I think I want to focus on weddings. How can I get a start in the industry right now? Should I start getting acquaintances to let me plan their weddings or is that too much? Do planners have or usually need interns? How much do planners typically make? Any answers or site references would be great
Help with Houston/Galvenston wedding planning?
Having 10 15 guests and on a budget of $1500. Also, wanting the ceremony and rehearsal at the same place would prefer inside but outside is ok too. Can't have it at a family house because my family lives in WI and FH's family lives in apartment's. Is there anything?

I found a site a couple years ago that was free and let you do everything on their site, from the guest list , budget, menu etc. I have been using mywedding.com but it doesn't have a guest list feature that I can find. Anyone know of one that lets you plan everything out?

How much wedding planning did your fiance help you with?
My fiance and I are having a DIY wedding. I doing most of all of the DIY projects since I'm the one who is super crafty. My fiance has helped me designing the seating chart and save the date card wording. He has also made a song for our wedding. We both registered for our gifts together. We've picked out songs for our wedding. How much planning did your fiance help you with? I want to give him more projects to do.

I recently started a wedding planning business where I organise the whole function from the flowers, the decor, the photographer, the food.... etc. what can I do to market the business even more to get more clients.

Advice on wedding planning?
I know its my day, but I also want my mom to be happy too. She will be happy either way, but I KNOW she wants me to have a big wedding meaning all the family and friends are there, but here are some issues...1. We are paying for it ourself, with some help from my parents and his parents. 2. We know times are tough, and don't want our parents to feel " obligated" even though they would love four us to have the " perfect" day.3. If we choose to have a " big" wedding, we have 8 attendants each, 4 ushers, 3 personal attendants, 4 hosts, 2 singers, 2 scripture readers...see now I have a headache.4. My mom's list of guests is already to 100...not including my friends, or his family...but she wants to keep it under 200.... big family.5. Him and I really are fine with our immediate family and a couple close friends standing up for us at a northern resort and then having a party at a later date to celebrate our marriage because I know our families would want to congratulate us.6. Our families are some what traditional when it comes to weddings, but I just really really really don't want the whole hooooopla.How do you think I should go about this with my parents and his? I know my mom has always dreamed of my BIG DAY, haha I just don't want to crush her dreams but I know that the wedding she would be able to help provide would not be exactly what I wanted and I would end up cutting corners etc....Our big day was also put on hold as of last year due to an unforseen issue ...so im kind of played out too and just really want a peaceful fun evening.What should I do?The BIG wedding is only because I have a large family and the attendents are close friends and family, we cannot will not leave anyone out we are all just too close that is why it is hard to decide what style of wedding. I know my mom will understand but I just don't want her sad she created me ya know haha The up North Retreat is two cabins on the North Shore, 40 guests, beach wedding, bonfire, dinner and drinks after...then we would honeymoon there the next 7 days Then have a party a couple months after celebrating our marriage, so not a typical reception. Its not all about the money, but more so tooooooo many people that we know.
How do I make my wedding planning special for my sister?
My mom is dying and I am trying to plan my wedding with the hopes that she will still be here for it. My mom also really wants the same thing. My sister, who is a maid of honor is fighting me on everything, ultimately because she is jealous that I will have our mom at my wedding and she wont. How can I make the wedding planning special for her so she stops ruining the big day for everyone?

At what age did you start wedding planning?
I'm in my upper teens, I haven't even met a guy yet, and I LOVE planning my wedding. I spend hours sometimes looking around on the internet at wedding dresses, wedding colors and themes, wedding photography, ect. My mom and my best friend are not really like that, so I try to keep secret how long I really do spend on doing things like this, because I'm nervous they'd make fun of me. I know some people dream of their wedding, and some people don't. Do you think I'm a little too obsessed with wedding planning, or do you think it is cool and smart? My tastes change quite a bit throughout the years, yet I know how stressed brides can get during the planning process, and I think it would be a good idea to have a solid idea of what I want by the time I meet a guy and become engaged. What do you think? Please no hateful comments.
Has your family ever tried to interfere with your wedding plans?
My Sister had a horrible Mother in law who tried to take over her and her fianc 's wedding planning. What's your story on the question?
