Any good ideas for a december 30 wedding honeymoon location?
we live in atlanta and met two years ago december 30th and decided to get marrried on this date to commemorate the date we met. We have both bee married before, so we decided we are going to do one of those getaway marriage honeymoons. We first considered key west and still are , but since key west is so expensive for lodging, I'm wondering if there might be somewhere else with as good, or better value. heck, noone is immune from this economy. So I'm thinking of surprising her with somewhere else, and amseeking input for a romantic getaway. any ideas? Thanks so much for any ideas

may be a stupid question but do you tip when you have an all inclusive package for your honeymoon in jamaica at a 5 6 star hotel. so if you eat dinner at one of the restaurants at your hotel do you?

How many days should I ask off for my wedding/honeymoon?
I'm getting married on June 23 of this year. I just recently took on a part time job to suppliment my income through college, and I feel like I need to notify my new employer soon as to the days I'll want off for my wedding and honeymoon. However, I don't know how well it is going to go over with my new boss, if I ask for twelve days total off. I wanted that many so that I would have off the day before the wedding through our week long honeymoon plus travel time we're travelling from Southwest Louisiana to Gatlinberg Tennessee . Is asking for twelve days off without pay of course , too much? What do you suggest?
Wedding/honeymoon insurance?
I am looking into wedding insurance and travel insurance for the honeymoon but am not really sure what I am looking at reading when I do the research. We are traveling to Jamaica in October, which is about the start of hurricane season, so we want to be covered in case something happens. And we just thought that a few hundred dollars to cover the wedding was good sense. Does anyone have any company recommendations or tips? Thanks Wedding insurance isn't about protecting against people drinking too much or vendor no show it's to ensure you get your money back. You can't assume that because a vendor doesn't show that you automatically get your money back. They were shady enough to not show up in the first place, weren't they? So there's no guarantee they won't try to swindle you out of your deposits. I trust that my vendors aren't shady, but in the event that something happens beyond our control, I want to get my money back.
I don't want my period during my wedding/honeymoon!?
I am getting married July, 18th 2008. I have been trying to control my period so that I won't have it on the day or the honeymoon immediately following I have tried taking my birth control right through the time I'm suppose to have it but it comes anyway, and as of now it is due to arrive the day of my wedding if it stays on track. Is there anything else I can do to prevent this? Help I only have 6 weeks to figure it out

Girls: How should I take care of my body hair for my wedding / honeymoon?
I am getting married this spring. We are going on the honeymoon the next day. I am a pretty hairy guy. I am in good shape though. I lift and run regularly. If I never trimmed anything I would have hair all over my body. Back, upper arms, everywhere. Normally in the summer I completely shave my back but leave my chest and stomach hairy. I also completely shave my pubic area ,penis and balls.I was also thinking about trimming my ass and legs. Would this seem too weird?
Simple ideas to plan a wedding/honeymoon?
I have a hunch that my boyfriend will be proposing soon, maybe in the next 3 months or so. This is the first marriage for both of us. I'm 29, he's 28. I come from a big Catholic family and have always been exposed to the church wedding, huge reception, etc....My boyfriend and I make pretty good money together, and I've always wanted a nice, special wedding, but I really don't want to spend a large amount of money on one day. I feel that the wedding industry is so commercialized as it is. I don't think we will be engaged that long. We've already talked about getting married fall 2010, but nothing is set in stone yet. I just need some help on ideas for planning a painless wedding. Something that will be nice and special, but not cost a TON and be a nightmare to plan. Sometimes I watch " Bridezilla" and " Say yes to the dress" and I can't believe the craziness that ensues I want to enjoy the experience. We are open to all sorts of ideas. We've discussed havinging the more traditional reception wedding with about 200 guests to a small intimate one that isn't huge, beach wedding, vegas, etc. And when I say Vegas, I don't mean a drive thru Any ideas would be appreciated Thanks. We're from Indiana, if that helps.
Need help with all-inclusive resort for wedding/honeymoon?
My fiancee and I are looking to hold both our wedding & honeymoon at one of the Beaches, Sandals or Breezes all inclusive resorts in Bahamas or Jamaica. I always thought those resorts would be great and would be willing to splurge for this occasion. I've looked up reviews on tripadvisor and they are mixed which they usually are. Some comments on there are really bad which has me concerned. Has anyone been to any of these resorts and would you recommend them? Keep in mind we are in our 30s, looking for a nice, relaxing vacation with good food. We're open to other suggestions as well, but would like to keep the all inclusive theme. Thanks

I've just been in a lovey dubey mood lately I've never given much thought to my dream wedding, I mostly wanna spend money on the honeymoon cause it's gonna be me and my future husband So for my dream honeymoon, it would a week of scuba diving in the great barrier reef since I love Australia and I love to scuba, and my boyfriend now i feel like I'm going to marry him but if not, it's ok too a week in Greece since he loves that Greek Mythology stuff
If asking for money for ur wedding/honeymoon is a big NO NO, then why are these couples getting tons of $$$?
You hear about it all the time..don't other than a registry ask for gifts and don't ask for money. I also believe it's not a good idea to ask for money.However on thebigday.com...couples are able to make a honeymoon registry where they ask for money to be spent on their honeymoon. I looked through a lot of registries..and some of these couples are making tons of money. One couple already has $3500 to go to their honeymoon. Another couple $2800..and another $2975. yes, this is alot of money in my book Whey are guests giving this money...if asking is a big no no? My Fiance and I are busting our butts saving up for our honeymoon..and we STILL can't afford to do everything we would like to do..I admit, I'm a little jealous of these other couples getting a honeymoon at no cost to them.because I said so why use our own money for our honeymoon? Honestly, that's such a strange question to me. 1 we want to leave for our honeymoon as soon as we are married, not months later. 2 We don't expect anyone else to pay for it. but seeing these couples on this website makes me wonder...???
