Anybody got any ideas? And please don't say anything like Paris or some other frou- frou vacation. We are not those kind of people.

How about Brazil or Mexico if you want somewhere warm and Nice but not too over the top, It would also be decently priced. Another idea would be Canada, it's no too far away, and the same language! it's fairly cold here would be the only downfall for this time of year

Isn't the main purpose to have a happy life together, and it really doesn't matter where you go, as long as you are together? Find a nice hotel in driving distance from where you live just to get away from everyone for a few days. When you are ready to plan a vacation together, choose a place you'll both enjoy that you have never been.

If you are in the united states, may i recommend colonial williamsburg. the governors inn for people on a budget the willliamsburg lodge for more swank. the pass to get into the houses and events comes with the hotel room. you need at least 4 -5 days to see everything, including jamestown. plan your days with the schedule. must see the witch trial. do not need a car. fly into newport news airport and get a taxi. easy peasy. history.org

Um, you've left it til now?! To provide the best answers, we need to know your location and budget. (eg if you're in New York and have $1000 to spend, the answers will be different to if you're in London and have £10,000 to spend) Also, if you don't like Paris (frou-frou? what you do in Paris is up to you!) then what kind of places do you like visiting?

Book a cruise. Hell, my sister didn't have a honeymoon until 6-7 months after she was married. She took a cruise n the Pacific northwest, backpacked in Alaska, and then went to Vancouver and Seattle. Definitely not a frou-frou vacation, but definitely an eventful and gorgeous one.

Don't know what your budget is like but check out these last minute deals- sandals.com/ specials/ last-minute.cfm?referral= 134793 You don't HAVE to go on your honeymoon right after your wedding. I know people who have waited an entire year so they could recoup (financially) from the wedding and afford a nice big vacation. Maybe wait until after the wedding, see how much $$ you got from the guests and plan a nice week long trip then.

If you are in such rush i would suggest you to jump on a cruise. Unless you are going somewhere local, a few days is not enough to plan a complete trip. You won't be relax and enjoy the trip because of the lack of planning A cruises is affordable and all inclusive. You don't need to worry about food/ accommodation/ travel. Just jump on the ship and relax. or you can just rent a B &B/ honeymoon cabin in your area, and have a second honeymoon next year
