Question: All inclusive, adventurous, but safe honeymoon location?

My fiance and I are beginning to plan our honeymoon. I am looking to a tropical location, all inclusive package (not a must, but would be nice), and plenty of adventurous things to do. I would like to be able to walk around the city and area (without a tour guide) and feel safe. A place like Sandals would be ok, but I don't feel like I'd be getting a realistic view of the culture, the food, and the general way of life. I have been doing some research on Belize and I am very interested in the Mayan Ruin tours and other forest adventures. Any ideas? Have you gone anyway that you would recommend? We also want a place where there's isn't a ton of kids or college students.

I can't think of a better place than Cancun or even better Playa Del Carmen area south of Cancun. Very reasonably prices, ton of stuff to do. The culture is amassing with the Mayan Pyramids nearby, lots of ECO parks with tons snorking, Dolphin swims, river floats and cave floats. If you like Mayan ruins as i do Chichen Itza is close and so it Tulum. Coba is less discovered and is also very close. Just do it you won't be sorry. I have been to many places in the caribbean and Mexico and this is what your asking for. Also don't concern yourself about the violence that's in the news. Its nowhere near this area. This area is so important to the economy of Mexico that the Government can't allow it to have trouble.

A cruise might be your ideal idea. You get to see many islands and experience all sorts of adventures without having to move to a different hotel every night. Check them out.
