Fiance and i looking for a great but fairly affordable honeymoon!?
We live in america and our wedding is in june. We dont think we'll have enough time to get passports and are afraid if we wait to get it everything will be booked up so we just want to do something in america or somewhere that doesnt require a passport. We are lucky enough to be getting a 5000 thousand dollar wedding gift from his dad but dont wanna spend it all on the honeymoon. Wed like to be able to spend some money while there, restaurants, souveiners, etc. Were thinking of hawaii but it seems really expensive. We want someplace tropical, but were really open to anything. Any suggestions would be much appreciated thanks

Where is a great *affordable* honeymoon destination for September 2008...suggestions?
I'm getting married on 9 27. We're 22, & are in school & working full time, so, we don t have a lot of money. I'm looking for ideas. Hotel on the beach? A cruise? We aren't sure if we can travel anywhere outside of the US financial reasons but it would be awesome if we could just come up some ideas. I HAVE TO HAVE THE OCEAN OR A SEA OR SOME LARGE BODY OF WATER. If he could go anywhere in the world, it would be China or Paris. I would love to go to Japan, Mexico, Spain, Italy, or the Caribbean. My mom suggested, Nashville or Gatlinburg the other day. There is ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with those places, I just would prefer those places as vacation spots for when we have kids not as a honeymoon. We are attempting to get as much luxury as we can of course. The destination you suggest doesn't have to be any of these places. Money is the name of the game. Any suggestions are appreciated. Affordable Honeymoon in Vegas ideas?
My fiancee and I are getting married in Vegas next spring does anyone have any tips for places to stay? We don't want to do this on the cheap, but we're not rich we've got our ceremony booked at the Venetian and I was thinking of honeymooning there, but even the basic rooms there with our discount for getting married there are SO expensive I was looking at other hotels like the Monte Carlo and for half the cost of staying at Venetian's basic room, we could stay in a luxury suite there what's the best place to go? Anyone have reception venue ideas? Honeymoon stay ideas? Affordable honeymoon?
my fiance and i have been discussing honeymoon ideas, and our " dream honeymoon" would be to fly to nyc for a couple days, see a broadway show or two, then fly over to europe and visit a few of the standard tourist spots over there. we're not really beach cruise people. but realistically speaking, there's no way we could afford something like that, especially since we're paying for the whole wedding ourselves. and i certainly don't want to ask our guests for money for the honeymoon instead of gifts, we should be thankful for whatever our guests want to give us, i don't want us to appear tacky and cheap. so, my question to my fellow low budget brides out there, how do you afford a good honeymoon on top of paying for your wedding? anyone have links to affordable travel websites?we're from texas

Affordable honeymoon destinations near South Carolina?
We're getting married next May and we're looking into honeymoons. Unfortunately, we're on a budget and just want to be able to get away for a few days somewhere close, but still nice. We live in the Columbia, SC area.After years of living here, there's nothing exciting about Charleston, because we can go there any weekend for just the price of gas 1 1 2 hours away , so what's the point? We were thinking Myrtle Beach or maybe a cabin in the mountains, but I don't know how much there is to do in the mountains in early May.Unfortunately, we can't afford Hawaii or Disney World or anything like that even if we got a good deal. We're looking as cheap as we can get, but still having a nice experience.Any ideas? Driving distance only Haha, yeah I know what we'll be doing on our honeymoon, but I'm talking about activities to do when we come up for air.
