Does anyone know about Virginia divorce law???
My father in law is about to go through a divorce. His wife has been unfaithful many times and taken her back many times. She has a drinking problem and he keeps trying to help her. She just cheated again and they are now divorcing. Is there any chance he wont get messed over with alamony since they have been married so long. She is going to try and take him for everything and he has been good to her. She has a parttime job and will not get a fulltime job when she is fully qualified to get one and suppoert herself. I guess the question is does he have to get the short end of the stick on this since he isnt the bad guy here.

Virginia Divorce, Please!?
I've decided to divorce my husband, I've realized he his not at all happy in this relationship, and neither am I. All he does is insult me all the time, and honestly I can't even remember the last time he said he loved me. Now I've decided to move back home to LA to be with my family, he is okay that I take our three week old son to live with me, and all I would like to know is where can I go to file divorce papers, to make this a smooth and quick process. Thanks

Virginia divorce laws including children in marriage?
Here's the deal Married 8 20 05. We have one two year old son. We were separated in December 2006, and are hoping to be divorced soon. We are doing this amicably, no fighting over custody, we've come to agreements regarding our son. We just want the divorce over with as soon as possible. Do you have any idea how to go about doing this without contacting an expensive lawyer, because we're both young and poor and can't afford one.
Virginia Divorce. Do not want any marital property from Ex.?
Me and my husband have been separated as we can take it no more. We have been married for 8 years. We have very different personalities. However, here is the problem. I feel my husband has done a lot for me and the household. I have seen him struggling and working hard to create the financial security.I was an idiot when I married him and now I am a professional because of his constant support and pestering . Hence, I do not want to take any money from his accounts. My parents are very well off and all of that will be mine. My soon to be ex does not have rich parenst and he has made it his responsibility to support them.He is a nice guy but very short tempered and a nervous person. If I take any money from him, I will feel guilty as hell. I continued in the marriage due to guilt. So my question is I want to file for divorce, but dont want any property. How do I convince the judge not to issue a court order for splitting the property? Is there a document? We dont have any kids
Is there a statue of limitations to a Virginia divorce agreement?
My former spouse is not complying and I want to pursue enforcement through the court without an attorney. My divorce was final in 1997 in Fairfax County Court.
Virginia Divorce question?
I recently found out my husband has been having multiple affairs with different women. I have one child and am pregnant with our second. I am the bread winner and do not need his financial support. I have filed a complaint on the grounds of adultry. I have heard he has 21 days to respond which I don't think he will do because he admits the adultry. At first I really wanted a divorce, but the more I think about it I realize I need more time to make sure it is what I want. Is there any way I can slow the proceedings without losing my grounds for divorce. I asked my lawyer and she is very wishy washy and won't give me direct answers. Does anyone know anything about this?
Virginia Divorce Help!?
My grandfather bought me my house, 2 year later I got married and my husband and I added his name to our house and took out a Equity loan for $60K. We have not even been married for a year and are now wanting a divorce. What is going to happen to my house that I received as a gift? Will we just have to split the $60K loan or the whole house? Thanks for you help btw... He is married to me for $$$$
Military/Virginia Divorce Advice NEEDED?
My husband and I have been married since 03.14.2009. He has committed adultery more than once throughout our marriage and is currently talking to another female, although I have no proof of adultery for that. From previous adultery accounts, I have pictures, social networking comments messages, phone records, my health record of STD's that he has given me and a confession from both parties. He has also physically abused me. He moved out and moved in to the barracks on base. His branch is USMC.My questions are We moved here in April I'm away from all family and friends and have no vehicle, he has it. Is there a way I can get out of the lease? I am unemployed if that helps We have a 2 year old son, and we aren't arguing over custody, he said I can take him. What would the child support for military and VA laws?Does alimony play in affect here? If so what would be an estimate amount? Is there a way that I don't have to wait 1 year of separation in order to get divorced? As far as the items in the house, furniture etc. he says I can have it all.I need help, don't want to pay for an attorney because I do NOT have the money or the resources to do so. I just need some questions answered so I can find the money to pay for the divorce and whatever else is necessary. DO NOT JUDGE WHAT I HAVE BEEN THROUGH OR HOW I LIVE MY LIFE. THE REASON WHY I STAYED IS BECAUSE MARRIAGE ISN'T SOMETHING TO TAKE LIGHTLY AND I DID EVERYTHING IN MY POWER TO MAKE IT WORK AND I DO NOT HAVE ANY MORE FIGHT IN ME.
