Hello, me and my girlfriend who have been dating for 4 months would like to begin looking for a house in a couple of months and live together. The problem is I have a moral clause in my divorce decree that basically says I cannot be around anyone I am intimate with between the hours of 10 00 8 00 am when I have my son. can this be removed and if so how? I was divorced but before my divorce was final ex wife became pregnant. My divorce was finalized and and she had the baby, and told me that she had a dna test and that it wasn't mine. Texas Divorce Decree?
My husband and I are in the process of a divorce. I got word from him yesterday that the divorce would be finalized on the 19th and I still have not gotten a copy of the final decree. I have also never received a notice of a hearing date. I contacted his lawyer yesterday and asked why the decree had never been sent to me to review and he said that this was part of his " legal strategy" . Finally yesterday evening his lawyer sent me a copy of the final divorce decree. I have some items I do not agree with primarily the fact that it does not state that my car, that we are both co signers for on the loan, is solely my property. Also it states he has to make payments to a credit card, but does not state when the payments will start or how often he has to make them. I do not want to sign the decree until all this information is added in. Can his lawyer force the divorce through without my signature on the decree? I already filed a letter with the court stating I did not agree with the terms and another problem is that I am in Ohio the divorce is taking place in Texas. Please, Please, Please do not just tell me to get a lawyer. I absolutely do NOT have the money for that. I just need some informed advice. Thanks Thank you so much for your answer, and in regards to your question, yes I did include in the letter what I did not agree with. I think I am also going to review the decree and submit another letter to the court now that I actually have the decree to review.

Texas divorce laws. I am getting divorced and I have a few questions.?
I was married for less than a year and now I'm getting divorced. During our marriage my ex wife went to the hospital numerous times accumulating a $23,000 bill. I live in Texas and would like to know if indeed it's mandatory for me to pay half of this, because according to my ex wife, I am liable for half of her hospital expenses. I received a 2nd set of divorce papers and under the section of division of debt it say like this " IT IS ORDERED AND DECREED that the husband , me, shall pay half of debts etc. etc., can anyone tell me if indeed is mandatory and in case it is, is there anyway to appeal this? Thanks> Thanks to all who answered my question. I've been asked whose name are the bills under? The bills are under her name, not mine. All the medical attention was for her. All I did was drive her there and sit by her side and now I may pay 12k for it.

Where Can I Get Free Texas Divorce Papers?
I can't afford a lawyer and I was told that filing the divorce yourself is considerably cheaper. It is uncontested so it should not be to much of a hassle. Does anybody know where I can get the forms online for free so i can start the paperwork? I have used a few search engines and can't find anything that I don't have to pay for

Voluntary Spousal Support in Texas Divorce prior to Ten Years?
I am in Texas and starting the divorce process after 7 years of marriage. My husband and I were going through the marital separation agreement and there is the option of spousal support. In turn for signing my share of the house to him, my husband is willing to pay spousal support to me for five years. In essence he is paying for an uncontested divorce and the house though there is no real equity there in today's market . Would this stand in court? Or will they say spousal support is not possible due to it being under 10 years?

Texas Divorce Laws for Vacations?
Under my legal custody, do I need to provide written notice to take my child to Puerto Rico? The divorce decree states to provide written notice if traveling outside the United States. One of the reasons we don't want to notify the ex is because there is a rebellious teenaged daughter involved also. We don't want her to come with us for the wrong reasons.
