How would I go about filing a petition to have parental rights involuntarily terminated.?
How would I go about filing a petition to have parental rights involuntarily terminated. My son is 2 and a half. He hasn't seen his son in over six months. The court that handled the ex parte ordered us to go to mediation. He cancelled the first one no call no showed the second one and then didn't show up for the review hearing. The judge granted me full custody and him with supervised visits. When the guardian program director contacted him to set up the visits he refused to set them up. Before he stopped seeing him he stole him from for about two weeks but I got him back. While he had him he ran out and filed for custody. We just had a custody court date a couple days ago and he did not show up. CSE had to garnish his wages to get child support because he refused to sign an order. And now I think he changed jobs or got fired because I haven't received child support in three weeks. He had multiple opportunities for visitation and blew them all off. My son doesn't even know him anymore. And his actions are clear that he wants nothing to do with his son anymore. What can I do?Ok I understand that there are a lot of women that go on a power trip and try to keep kids away from good men who love their children. This is not the case with me. I'm not mad at him about any thing from the past or jealous about something or anything like that. He had chance after chance to see his son and he flat out refuses to even set up any kind of visitation with him. He told the judge in ex parte court that he didn't want his supervised visits so he lost those too. Why should he maintain his rights if he has abandoned his son in every way possible?Ok I understand that there are a lot of women that go on a power trip and try to keep kids away from good men who love their children. How can you get parental rights terminated?
My son is 13 months old. His father has never really been involved. He has seen my son 13 times and only saw him because i got a hold of him and brought my son to him. He did recently start paying support to avoid going to jail. He no longer asks about my son or has any interest in seeing him or spending time with him. It's been 2 months since hes seen my son again. He texts me on occasion trying to get me to sleep with him buts that's about as far as our conversations go. Hes mentally abusive towards me and often gets angry and flips out. He doesn't want my son and doesn't want to be involved and im perfectly fine with that. I don't know what to do. His names not on my sons birth certificate and i have sole custody. I live in pennsylvania and im trying to find some way any way any loop hole to get him out of mine and my sons life.

Do any of you know expect when taking away a fathers parental rights?
I am about to start going to court with my daughters father sperm donor and I am so nervous I just need to know what to expect, heres the story The father and I were together when my baby was born, but split up when she was a year old due to him not working, doing drugs etc. he would see her maybe once every 3 months until I cut that off completely. My child is not there to love on when you decide you want to, she gets enough love from me all the time. Well, middle of this year the Attorney General got involved because she was on Medicaid for 3 months, and I never charged a thing to it, I was just in between jobs, and she had to have insurance. I just wasn't going to let her go without it. So we go to court, they order him to pay child support, back child support and all that stuff I will never see a dime of anyway as if I care , and he can only see her on supervised visits which never happened . Well now he is in prison, for violation of probation possession of ecstacy owes me about $15,000 in child support even though he is in jail it still accumulates and I am married to a wonderful man who has been with me and my daughter since she was about 14 months, and the only one she knows as Daddy. I am ready to strip him of his rights, I have a good lawyer, and all sorts of evidence against him i.e. gang relations, drinking pics he is only 20 pics of him with marijuana, etc. I just want to know what to expect in court. In my eyes I have this thing won, but I don't want to get my hopes up. Any of you know what to expect here?

Does anyone have or know where I can find a affidavit for relinquishing parental rights?
I live in the state of Colorado.

Please dont judge my friend, but how does a mother go about signing over her parental rights in WV?go?
Have a pretty strange situation on my hands. I can't go into the entire story b c I don't have enough room. I would like to know how a mother can go about signing over her parental rights in WV. The father has tyrned the children against their mother completely. He has had CPS on her case for almost a yr and with every accusation she has proven to be false. The judge however is friends with the fathers attorney and she can not get an attorney. Legal aid wont even help her. The best thing to do at this point for the childrens sake is to sign over her rights. The children are being bribbed by their father to act out and have become physical towards their mother. To reduce the childrens stress several people have told her to walk away. How does she do this? Please no negative comments. She has been thru enough as it is. You still don't even know half the story. Thanks to any helpful advice

Do you still have to pay child support if you give up your parental rights?

Can my son get taken from my mom if she files to terminate his fathers parental rights?
My mother has custody of my son. We want to terminate his fathers parental rights, but heard that it is possible my son could get taken from my mother while the case is pending. Does anyone know if that is true? If so I was going to see if I could file to terminate his rights but I do not have custody of my son myself. I just cant seem to get my own place by myself and the courts wont give me custody back until I have my own stable place. My sons father is a continuing drug user, keeps coming and going in my sons life as he pleases, we recently found out he was under the influence of drugs during his unsupervised visit with my son, took his grandmothers car to buy drugs, nodded out and smashed it then fled the scene. My sons grandmother his fathers mom told my son without speaking to my mother and I that daddy had to go away for a while and didnt know when he would be back and she had to go clean out his house. Its been going on for 6 years now and this family just needs to get out of our lives and stop this for good. So can I file to terminate his rights? If not is it true he may get taken from my mother in the meantime? Please help

How do I stop hating my ex husband for voluntarily terminating his parental rights of our 2 small children?
Instead of paying child support, my ex husband opted to voluntarily terminate his parental rights of our 2 small children. He was almost $8,000 in arrears, hadn't paid a single dime towards his half of their medical expenses, never tried to contact them I moved to a different state after our divorce to be with my family , let our son's birthday pass without a card, a call or a present, and somehow blames me for it. He consistently verbally attacked me and threatened me until I obtained a restraining order preventing him from contacting me. But I still did everything in my power to make sure my children had access to him. I bought a 5 year old his own cell phone so he could call his father whenever he wanted. I offered to drive them to see him on my dime and he responded with several four letter words. He was furious over the amount of child support he owed and I tried working with his attorney to come to a happy medium. Nothing I did was good enough. He was so full of hate and anger towards me for moving that when he was presented with the option of terminating his rights in exchange for him owing me nothing, he accepted. I was shocked. I had to think about it for weeks, but ultimately decided that if this was a viable option for him, and if he was going to forever hate me and make our children pay for his issues, that I had no choice but to allow it to happen. Had I not agreed, who knows what he would have done to the kids to get back at me or punish me.I'm so confused about this. He cheated on me when I was 5 months pregnant with our 2nd child. When I confronted him, he threw me out saying I violated his privacy. I was already in the middle of a high risk pregnancy and was living in an extended stay hotel with our 4 year old in a town 1,000 miles away from my home with no family. I felt I had no choice but to move. After the move, he became even more aggressive and even more angry and now, he blames me for his choice to terminate his rights. He says things like he's going to write the children letters and tell them how this is all my fault and they'll never forgive me for allowing him to terminate his rights. How could I possibly have any control over what he chooses to do? People divorce every day and move away and they don't terminate their rights. People disagree every day over child support and they don't terminate their rights. Why did I have to marry the person that defies logic and reason? Why do my children have to pay for his inability to let go of his anger? And most importantly, how is this my fault? I didn't stand in front of the Judge and announce that I wished to terminate my rights? As a matter of fact, I asked that he be a man and live up to his responsibilities. But if he felt the responsibility of being a father to his two children was more than he could handle, then the best thing for my kids was for me to agree that he terminate his rights.I still have a restraining order but he won't stop having people email me or send letters in the mail telling me how I've ruined my kids lives and that I'll pay for it. What have I done?I have an attorney. And almost $30,000 in attorney fees to go along with all of this ridiculous fighting. I agreed to let him terminate in exchange for him having zero financial responsibility. The money isn't the issue. I'll make do one way or another. It isn't like he was helping financially anyway and his blood money wasn't worth any of this.Zoom, it's ironic that you say that. You are the third person to suggest that he suffers from that exact personality disorder. I will definitely check out what you suggested. edit Lol him not being the father. I'll gladly show you the Order that he signed. I had to agree to the termination and my father had to step in to adopt my two children.

I want my Bf to sign away his parental rights, how do I do this?
My bf and I have been together for just over 7 months and I am three months pregnant he has told me he wants nothing to do with this child and we are separating, im just curious as to if I did put his name on the birth certificate could he sign away his parental rights now? I would like my child to know who its real father is even if he wants nothing to do with this child and I don't want him in my child's life either as he has other children he claims to love but refuses to pay child support and doesn't care if he gets to see them. I want what is best for my child but I know it isn't him. If anyone has info on how signing parental rights works I would really appreciate it.Y Groups Dads House Ed. Center, I really don't appreciate your comment I grew up in a household raised only by my mother until I was 12. Both my brother and I are contributing members of society and very respectful well behaved people. Having a father doesn't mean you will turn out good, the kind of father and mother you have determines the kind of person your going to be you can't just sum people up into some kind of statistic based on weather or not they have a mother and father in their life. I would rather my child not grow up hurting because their father says they want to be in their life and lies to them. I know how that feels and I will do everything in my power to stop an ignorant selfish conceited man from being in my child's life to lie to them and dissapoint them. So dont go telling me that just because my childs birth father isnt in its life that it will be a bad person because you obviously have so many of your facts wrong. Didnt u read this part of my post " he has told m

If you are listed on the Birth Certificate as the father, do you also automatically recieve parental rights?
My fiancee is trying to get BAH from the military and he is on the birth certificate and our son is enrolled in DEERS but they are trying to say that he is not entitled to bah because he can not provide proof that our son lives with him that he is even a parent. We have even turned in a power of attorney giving him equal rights and they are saying this. We just want to know if they can legally deny him of this on the basis that he has no rights.

I have an 8 year old son, and an almost 16 year old daughter. My son and daughter have different dads, and my daughter has never met her real dad. She is too much to handle. She hates my husband, her step dad, and my sons real dad. She told me to choose between them, and I chose my husband. I want to give my parental rights up for her. Someone else can adopt her or whatever, but I don't love her. How do I go about giving up my rights? Any help is appreciated.
