Maryland divorce with a house that's upside down. What to do?
FACTS Live in PG County Maryland. Been separated for over three years. Spouse resides in CA. Mortgage contract is in both our names. Home value upside down therefore cannot sell or refinance . I am and have been sole contributor to mortgage. Spouse is not asking for anything...just demands to be off original contract. This in itself is the significant setback towards finalizing divorce. What are my options? How can the courts settle this issue?

Is there any way to get around the one year separation period before a divorce can be finalized in Maryland? Are there any states with no residency requirement to process a divorce?
