Why are a lot of lawyers not married/single?
I noticed many lawyers are single not married while a few are married. And the ones that are married are married to someone in the legal profession. Is it really hard to have a relationship with such a demanding career?

My divorce lawyers wants to settle the case in mediation but I want them to fight for full custody as my case is very strong but I don t know why they don t want to fight,may be my husband s lawyer is their friend or may be they don t like me my lawyer was not dealing my case as I wanted her to,she told me lies and even start yelling and not listening to me ,I didn t fire her as she already took 20,000$ but also couldn t trust her that s why I hire another attorney with her ,give him 10,000 to help me ,he told that she will still be the leading attorney.Unfortunately I ruled out later that they both are good friends and now she is using him to convince her point of view to me.I am a immigrant here and they both asking me that why don t I go back to my country instead of fighting the case.I have four children and has a strong history of family violence with police record against my husband infact he was arrested and went to jail ,also he has felony charge pending inthe court but none of my lawyers are trying to help me getting the full custody,I wasted my 30,000$ for nothing.I am very dissapointed,please help meDear I am a permanent resident of America.

Why is it even after an order made by the courts the mother of the child is still being unreasonable with contact and keeps creating issues ? What does one do ? Hi. Sadly, I am in need of a good divorce lawyer in the Kenosha, WI area. I am looking for a good lawyer that has reasonable prices and can get my mother in law a quick divorce. Her husband is verbally abusive to her and physically abusive to her middle son. also he doesn't pay any bills for the household.he is so bad that she has been living in a separate home with her children for almost a year now to get away from his behavior. i live in Jacksonville Florida on the south side.all answers are appreciated.thank you in advance
Is it worth it to pay a divorce lawyer to fight for maintenance in Washington?
My husband left me and wants a divorce. My lawyer bill is $8,000 so far. He and I are both running out of money. In an effort to not bankrupt ourselves, we are trying to work out an agreement over the phone. We talk civil to each other but he is being such a dick. Here s my situation 7 year marriage. I never worked during the whole marriage. I m 35. No kids. My husband makes over 150K year. Now I know that I am young and I am eager to get a job. But I don t have a lot on my resume and like I say I haven t worked in 7 years. I see that it takes the average person 6 months to find a job.Anyway, my husband refuses to pay me maintenance. He really believes in Washington State s community property laws and he wants me to take half the debt and half the assets. The problem for me is, I could probably only make $35K year starting my life over, so I want to pay off the debt so I have no bills. But then I d be left with only 2 months cash to live on.I really really really tried to explain to him the obvious he will always make more money than me, it's just a 1 or 2 year sacrifice to him, I'll need like a year to find a job, I have to start my whole life over again.And he keeps throwing that damn 50 50 rule in my face I guess what I'm worried about, is it worth it to pay a lawyer to fight for me, or in the end will I be left worse off than what I could get right now? I don t know if I trust lawyers. His lawyer is a woman and is telling him I shouldn t get any maintenance. My lawyer says I m absolutely entitled to it. Are the lawyers all full of shit? Are there any wives in the Seattle area that have been in my situation? Is this worth fighting for? Please help. I feel like my survival is at stake.

I want to know what I need to do to get him to pay like the court said he needs to. I don't know who to speak to. The last time we were in court I gave a " motion" paperwork to the clerk but the clerk said we were not divorced so she couldn't help me. My husband is not cooperating with me. my lawyer mis worded my custody order and gave custody to my almost ex husband. what can be done about this? she must have forgot who the defendant and plaintiff were and whose side she was suppose to be on.let me add i did read it, point out the mistake between plaintiff and defendant,signed it and she said it would be switched. to the first answer yes the judge does do a reading of it but the lawyers write it and give it to the judge. it's their job to label their client correctly.
