Can a Catholic woman marry a divorced man if the man was not married in the Catholic church?
Mortgage payments. Wife and I separated, not divorced. I left a few years ago?
She lives in the house with the kids and she pays the full mortgage. I pay court ordered child support and live in apartment with my gf. She hired a lawyer and says she is filing for divorce. She claims that I still owe half of the mortgage and property taxes even though I do not live there and I pay support, which should cover 'shelter" . Her lawyer told her I am still responsible since my name is on the house and mortgage. I spoke with a lawyer who told me I am not responsible. Do lawyers just tell you what you want to hear? Am I responsible, but he is not telling me so, just to get my money? I do not want to go through a divorce and end up owing her Does anyone know the facts? If her lawyer says I am responsible and the one I spoke with says I am not....what is it?? I told her to sell it a long time ago and she wants the kids to stay there and not have to move It is HER choice to stay and pay the morgage

I'm stunned by this, and I can't believe this still exists today. My dad is the best dad ever When him and my Mum got divorced, she got the house, all the possessions and a load of his money. And me and my brother We never liked her, she was a terrible parent My dad lost the battle to keep us because of the stupid system, and it was obvious that she only wanted us so she could squeeze more money out of my poor father. He worked hard and made every penny of the income, she did nothing. Why does this system still exist today? Does no one else think this is just insane? I like the idea of marriage, but I'm never getting married now, I know that for sure. Not after what it did to my Dad.It's a long story why they broke up, he didn't cheat. And he didn't have a voice in the custody thing, men often don't, that what scares me. Besides me and my brother moved in with him in our teenage years.BTW contrary to popular belief, women cheat more than men do. So don't put the blame on men.

Before I get straight to the point, let me tell you how my Father & Mother treat my our friendship.My dad is the best dad ever He actually spends time with me, he drives me out to places on the weekends because he works mostly everyday. He respects my privacy and he gives me allowance of $100 every time we go out on the weekends so I can buy myself something. He's always been there for me when I was in a emotional state, like crying over a boyfriend or whatever, he was always there and he could relate so I guess he had similar things in his life. He always shows the same amount of respect towards me as I should show back to him, and it's always been like that and we always get on well. If I ever do anything bad or stupid, he'll calm down first and than have a heart to heart talk with me before deciding if I need any punishment. He also allows me to get a drivers license providing he pays half for the car and half for the insurance and for the drivers license.He paid for a contract on my Blackberry, and he also paid for my Blackberry. I will never forget my father even after he's gone, I just love him so much I and my Mother though, we don't get on. She has no respect for privacy and she just slams my door open whenever she feels like it, and screams at the top of her lungs to get me up...AT 8AM Normally this wakes my dad up and than he tries to calm her down before speaking to me, not to tell me off but to let me know that he's going to try and sort something. My mother Absolutely refuses for me to get a drivers license and she tried to tell my dad what's going to happen to me if I do get one and a car, that I'll go out and smash it up for trying to act cool. If my mother sees me eating more than 10 sandwiches a day Gotta love'em she throws them from my hand out into the bin and shouts at me and says I'm gonna get fat, if my dad's home he raises his voice at my mom and than takes me out so we can get a bite without her being like this, and if I do try and eat at home more than 10 bread a day, she continues to be like that, not kidding. She went through my texts and pictures and emails on my Blackberry that my father bought for me. She doesn't approve of any Boyfriend I had, while my father does on the other hand. And she doesn't respect my friends, whom again, my father does.Now, to the point To cut this as short as possible, I got drunk by accident, it was at home and I was playing Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3 with my father on our Ps3, split screen. He only lets me drink alcopop on special days, like when we spend time together because he's always away and even he admits he wish he wasn't away like he is. Well, to keep my mother from being abusive or go wild, my father mixed Cream Soda with 40 oz we were having, while he just drank it from his own cup without the Soda. As soon as it was time to go to bed I stood up and I was wobbly and I almost fell over but my father caught me and than he was chuckling as I was just embarrassed, I had one too many I think. My mother saw this and she started to shout and ask questions like, " Is she drunk? " my father put me to bed and than told my mother to calm down, she wasn't and she was going to barge in my room but he stopped her and than she accused him multiple times of being a pervert, and getting me drunk just so he can get " easy se " He said this to her, " Why you gotta be like this? " and than my mom said to him " I had enough of you always taking advantage of your own daughter you sick freak " she walked out the house and slammed the door and drove off and my dad was upset, crying, and even today he's still crying and couldn't even get to sleep, I think she might be divorcing him. I'm 16, what can I do? If I can't do anything can I at least live with him if he gets custody? And is it possible he will? I just love him so much and I can't begain to think my life without my father.Additional DetailsWe live in New York City, Bronx by the way, sorry forgot to mention that.

Okay, today my mom and dad sat me and my brother down and said they were getting separated. My mom is moving to a house a few miles away and they're still working out the custody thing. How to get out of a divorce alive?
Okay, I have a friend who is trying to get a divorce. His wife is trying to take away his money, his house, and his children because she's trying to keep him with her out of fear, or slam him even though she claims to have soooo much love for him eye roll . He's done nothing wrong. He simply wants out because he's been miserable for years and emotionally checked out a long time ago. She's manipulative, jealous, she spies on him and even got his facebook password to log in as him because she didn't like something. She demands to see all his texts. She doesn't want him to be emotionally attached to anyone but her. And she despises and female friends he has and likes to cause trouble for them. She took all the money out of their account so he can't afford a lawyer. I told him he should get her for emotional verbal abuse. Then after the divorce, get a restraining order put on her, since she demands to stay around to breathe down his neck and make sure he doesn't date again. I've never been divorced, so I don't know how all of this works? So tell me, what can he do? His kids are under 14, but can she legally deny them any right to state their opinion in court? Can he get her for emotional abuse? Who will most likely get the house? Can she make him pay alimony which is a stupid thing anyway and should be gotten rid of ? What can he do to get out of this with something intact?
Help! Husband and I are contemplating divorce.. ?
My husband has had problems with women in the past, I forgave him because were young and he has Multiple Sclerosis. In march he accused me of cheating because someone was sending me text messages that were " suggestive" . He assumed I was cheating and now were having nothing but problems.. He has gotten weirdly jealous over my family he doesn't want my 2 year old or me around them.. He doesn't allow me to go anywhere. I'm a stay at home mom and I do all the housework. No problem but when I ask him to watch our daughter he ends up falling asleep everytime.. I need help or advice everytime I don't do something he wants he dangles our daughter over my head threatening to take her from me. Everytime I try to go out with friends he tells everyone I'm a horrible mom and I'm never home and I don't even go out but 1 a week and it's with my mom. Please someone help me? Give me advice. Divorce Advice NJ State, Plz help?
Ok so to make a long story short, my wife filed for a divorce and she is currently threatening me that if I do not sign the divorce agreement papers with all her needs what ever she wants I will be forced by law to live on the street sense I have no money at the moment to get my own place.. So does anyone know if in fact the judge will pass this statement for me to move out on live in box if I have no where else to go. ThanksWell thing thing is I dont have money for a lawyer other wise I wouldnt have a problem getting my own place.. So i would go and represent my self in court, however my wife knows that I dont have a lawyer so she wants me to agree on what ever she want, if not she says ill be on the street after the divorce
Divorce and separation question?
Even though I have left a legal will and have not included my husband in it we are separated due to his illness can he or his family make a claim against me. For instance if we divorce would he still get my home or half of it even though I have a will and have left everything I own to my brother?
