are monthly divorce settlement payments tax deductible? different than alimony? Someone says they have to pay their ex wife 1250 a month for 10 years or until she dies. Are those divorce tax deductible like alimony? Is there a difference?

For Arizona is there a statute for trying to collect money owed in a divorce settlement?
According to the divorce paperwork my ex was to pay a percentage from two different retirements. The divorce was in 1998 and I have not received any money at all. I need to know if I can still try and collect the money.
What jurisdiction does Spanish law have regarding divorce settlement of two non-EU non residents of Spain?
I own a house in Spain but her name is not on the deeds. She has embargoed the property claiming to the spanish court I owe her money, which I do not. This has been overturned. But what right did a spanish court have over a non EU person to make a judgement in the first place? We weren't married in Spain and the spanish don't know what settlement I gave her as it's not the business of the spanish The ex lied to the court to obtain money but this was eventually overruled. However as the judgement was flawed in law, my lawyer says it now has to go back to court to enable me to defend the original action. But if the action was flawed and deemed full of mistakes, and thrown out of court, what is there to defend? Surely my ex has to make a new case against me at the very least? I should add I knew nothing about any of this as she sent all the legal notices to the wrong address deliberately, which is how the embargo happened. I am not domiciled in Spain either. And neither is she. I am american.Neither of us are spanish residents. I have got a lawyer on this, but they just seem to be taking money?
Can you get an extension on divorce settlement and divorce has finalized?
Why does the husband generally come out worse from a divorce settlement?
But when you see a bad divorce like that the woman always somehow gets most of the stuff the couple owns rather than just half even if there are no kids and also he has to pay her half of his earnings for like 10 years or something after the divorce, this is crazy Why can't they simply share everything then whoever looks after the kids gets extra money over time from the other parent? Why so much unfairness?
Can a wife and husband have the same attorney in a divorce settlement?

Can my girlfriends soon to be ex, restrict me from seeing their son, in his divorce settlement?
My girlfriend's soon to be ex husband has filed for divorce. As part of the settlement he want to put a clause in that I cannot see their son for the first year or so. He is concerned that it will affect his paternal bond with the child. Yes we were starting to see each other before they separated and I have been in their lives for a few years before the child was born. The relationship developed as they were having more and more problems. I was around when the child was born and have been active in his life since then. The child is only 8 months. The father has threatened a restraining order that he said his lawyer claims he can file against me. In internet searching I have found that the restraining order can only be filed if I have a history of violence and or if my involvement is potentially dangerous to the child. I do not have any history of any kind.I am always referred to as " Uncle" and so are many other people for the child. I respect that overnight visits and the like are inappropriate. In New Jersey,is there any legal precedent? Can he do this? She is thinking about fighting it and understands that the child comes first. Thanks
Divorce settlement in Louisiana.?
Been married for 24 years and we're considering a divorce. We live in Louisiana where everything is split 50 50. Children are 18 and older, so there are no child custody issues to worry about. The law here requires a 6 month separation period. If we totally agree on who gets what, is it still necessary to have an attorney or mediator to complete the divorce process? If we are able to do everything on our own, where do we get the necessary paperwork forms to fill out? How much would it cost? Any other information is appreciated.Murzy If we both want the divorce, we split all money, together we agree on who gets what, and we both want to move on, spending as little money as possible in the process. Can this be done without attorneys or mediators?

Divorce settlement not been paid?
My mom recently got a divorce and in the divorce settlement she was supposed to recieve part of the joint tax refund for 2011 that her and her ex filed together, a percentage of her ex's 401k, and stocks that were supposed to have been transferred to her or else sold and the profit would have gone to her if they are untransferable. Her ex was supposed to have given her this stuff in 2011, the judge had certain deadlines for her to recieve these things, but so far she has gotten nothing. What is the next step that we should take in order to get this stuff from her ex?? Is a lawyer necessary and if so, around how much would one cost to get this stuff from her ex? Thank you.
Car Title in Divorce Settlement?
Hi my name is Dillon. I am a nineteen year old college student looking for someone who knows something about divorce settlement violations. Late this past January my mother and my father were divorced, but they have been separated since my father left our house without notice three and half years ago. In their divorce settlement my mom was awarded possession of one of our cars, and so he was supposed to sign the title to it over to her but he never did. Now I am going to need a car to drive myself to school this coming year, and that one was going to be mine. But he refuses to sign over the title to my mother, and has forbidden me to drive it. My mom is going to see a judge to order him to sign over the title, but it takes weeks to actually make that happen, and I'm starting school in a week and a half. Can I threaten him with some kind of legal suit to make him turn over the title now? I know the judge will sign it over, but I need it now unless I want my mother to drive me to school. Suggestions? The car isn't in my mother's name, it's only in my father's, and he won't let me drive it, so if I get caught he could file a lawsuit against me for driving his car, even though it's not his.
