What is the fastest easiest way to get a divorce in minnesota?
How do you file for a divorce in Minnesota?
My sil was told by her husband tonight that he wants a divorce, they have been married for almost four years he has been in LA for about a month and a half with his family and she stayed here in MN they have a four month old son that she has been caring for since he left. She thinks that it will help her case if she files first no idea, never been through this before am just trying to help her out what does she need to do and where does she need to go to file for a divorce? What papers will she need to bring with her, if any, to file?
Can you get a divorce in Minnesota if wife is pregnant?
It's an amicable break up and she's been seeing another man for over a year. It's his baby. Neither legal separation or divorce have occurred yet though from the husband. Can divorce still be finalized if she's now pregnant?More details I ask because I know in many states a divorce will not be granted if the woman is pregnant. Also, it is definitely NOT mine and I'm fine with the pregnancy. Mostly we haven't moved forward with divorce for monetary reasons.
Divorce in Minnesota?
My husband of 3 1 2 years and I are getting a divorce. We have lived in Minneapolis for almost 2 years. We have no children, we own a home, 2 cars, retirement and everything else that goes with it. We met with a mediator last Thursday and got everything figured out with who was getting what. What is the next step? My soon to be ex husband is the one doing all of this..we agreed that an uncontested divorce would be best. I am just wanting to know what the next steps are going to be and how much longer it will take until this whole this is over with so I can try and move on.
Who gets the house in a divorce in Minnesota?
I was wondering, my girlfriend currently has a kid that is not mine. She is always talking about marriage. Recently I bought a house, using all my money and I am the only one on the mortgage. I know usually if a couple gets married and has a kid together whoever has custody of the kid gets the house. If I got married and she had a previous kid and we ever divorced would she get the house because she has a kid?I am adding this link 18884mydivorce.com pub Property house.htmBecause a lot of people keep saying it is a marital asset. This is true but usually only one person gets to " live" in the house after a divorce even if they have to pay the other person. From watching others usually the female keeps the children and retains use of the house.

How long does basic divorce in Minnesota or Virginia take?
I am getting married on June 27, but still need to divorce my first wife. This is the most simple uncontested case we need to file nothing to split up, no financial issues, no kids, no argument. We have lived in different states for years now, so there should not be any problem except for timing.I got all the forms on hand, but haven't looked through them yet.I am going to file this by myself in Minnesota, she lives in Virginia.AFAIK she won't need to appear in court and we can totally do this by mail.My biggest concern is to make it in time. Will we be able to?Are there any hidden hurdles I'm not aware of?What do I need to do to speed the process up? I got 3.5 monthsPlease advise what should we do to make it on time

Divorce in Minnesota??? No rights?
Due to state laws a business woman in a physically and verbally abusive marriage in minnesota, has to pay her cheating, abusive husband half of her retirement, give him half her business, half of her life insurance that her parents are the owners of. Also, he recently sent her to the hospital, so he could lose his job as a TEACHER, so she would have to pay even more Is this even possible, or is MN that messed up. We've told her to get a different attorney, but theattorney's say it doesn't matter. REALLY? This whole thing doesn't make sense. He cheats and beats and gets paid? Any tips or help or confirmation that the way it is etc.
