I am thinking about trying to reconcile with my ex. We have been seperated and divorced a total of 13 months. We have joint custody and my main concern is our daughter...she is 7 and it seems like she is not taking the divorce well at all like she is worse off than when we were together and fighting she didnt seem so insecure and depressed...its breaking my heart. i would do anything to see her happy again. Including getting back together with my ex seeing a marriage counselor and REALLY REALLY working on the things we struggled with during our marriage. Has anyone reconciled with their ex and had a good outcome...?any advice?Thanks

Please do not judge me. I have had years of fighting a man for a divorce when he is way too hard to find and really don't need anymore.Here is the short version I married in November 2006 and husband decided to up and abandon me in March 2007 in Fort Bragg, NC after changing his mind about having children and wanted to party instead...Just never told me and up and poof disappeared and has remained unreachable for the past 3 years.I have since then been fighting to get a divorce from him and when he wanted to come out of the woodworks he claimed he had divorced me...I and my lawyer both separately called his so called lawyer and the county clerk where he was to have filed and there has never been anything filed in his name or ssn...So, I filed once again...Myself We have contacted his lawyer as well as him and his family and all have remained unreachable once again. We have even sent out both the Marriage Dissolution Agreement and the Divorce papers both to his lawyer and to his last known address...The MDA still has not came back and supposedly his lawyer was to have him sign it a few weeks ago seeing as I never filed for alimony or anything just a divorce. It still has never made it's way back to my lawyer and my lawyer has decided to go and publish in the newspaper since this jerk off wants to remain unserved I finally decided to move on this year just like my husband has been with his gf for the past I would say 2 years now. I am now currently 3 months away from giving birth to my daughter. The father did the same thing my husband did so he will not be actively involved in my child's life unless he pays support.My Questions 1. Seeing as how my husband has been unreachable and everything for a divorce for 3 years now for a divorce...Am I to have to deal with him on the topic of child support too? or is there some way to deal with that matter without him being involved since his abandonment and my knowing of who the father is even though I will have a hard time contacting the father as well?2. In TN, do you have to have the father there to sign the birth certificate when you name him? 3. In my situation, in TN, who do I name as the father on the birth certificate? The bio father whom I know is to be correct or my husband because of some stupid law? When my husband and I have not cohabitated together or even seen or talked to each other for over 3 years and he is unreachable as well as noncooperative in any situation here.4. Who will the state go after for child support?
Divorce, children and lawyer strategies?
I filed for divorce this last Monday, my wife will be served this coming Friday. My lawyer instructed me to keep all commnication with my wife with text messages or e mails. He instructed me to send an e mail yesterday to my wife telling her that I would stop by my house today to pick up my little girl, take her with me, and have her spend the night with me and that I would take her to school tomorrow. The instructions were that If she did not answer to re send the same e mail today which I did. I still have gotten any answer and I must contact my lawyer before I go over there. Does anyone has any idea what is my attorney strategy here, and what is he trying to accomplish? I left my home voluntarily to avoid my wifeviolence towards me. Please help.

I have a friend who is wanting to file for a divorce, There are two children involved. And both spouses have committed adultry but only the husband has proof. He is threatening her that because he can prove she cheated on him and the law in Tn. is that she will lose her rights to the children because he doesn't want the divorce. Is this true? She's very unhappy in the relationship but she's afraid she will lose her children. She plans on meeting with a lawyer but if anybody could give us a heads up on what to expect, it'd be great
US Divorce & Child Custody of US citizen for Indian parents residing in USA?
My wife went for 2 months vacation to India and refused to come back citing so many invalid allegations, after waiting for 8 months I filed a divorce petition in USA court.I was granted a default judgment of divorce as my ex wife filed the answer to the petition for divorce and child custody and didn't appear for hearing citing the reason that she dosent have US visa. The US court has granted me the child custody and ordered my wife to pay me the cash which she has taken from me and some jewelery and also indicated that she is not eligible for alimony as per the state law. The final decree of divorce was send to my ex wife in India by US court.Now my ex wife and her father are instead planning to file a petition in India court asking for maintenance they are demanding around 3 million rupees , divorce and child custody in india. Can she file the petition in india asking the court for the said points? can Indian court give a judgment on this as US court has already given the divorce, custody of child etc.? how should I recover the gold and the cash my ex wife is holding.Please do the needful, I am in USA and my ex wife family is troubling my old parents in India. Hey so I'm a soon to be single stay at home mom with a 2 year old and 38 weeks pregnant. Baby could be due any day. I have no job and no money saved up as my husband has controlled all our money. What options do I have to get out on my own? I would like to get set up with HUD but don't know if I can apply not having a job waiting list is like a year and I don't know how to get child support if I don't have money for a divorce. I'm not willing to move in with my parents under any circumstances as they have already said no. Are there any legitimate stay at home jobs? I just don't know what to do next. I have no clue the first step of divorce or how to get out. Any help would be appreciated.
