i have a friend who lives in Calcutta, India. i think he is having custody issues. he once told me that his wife wants money. She may have threatened to take away his son and never le him see him again. She got court order to get him to stay with her for one year. He went back to her for his son, his wife's father is a military lawyer. I'm not in touch with him but i like to know what is the divorce and child custody system there. He is not happy with her and I am sure he wants to leave her but I think he is afraid to lose his son, his parents are fighting for custody.My questions are is it true that the Calcutta court is in favour of the woman? Will and can he ever leave her? Does his wife have power to controll his life? he is living a miserable life. he can't leave her unless he giver her money but he also wants to see his son. Will he be able to have custody of his son or gets to see him?
Does anyone know of free or low priced lawyer that deal with divorce and child custody?
i am currently in the army national guard and trying to get a full time job. my wife left me while i was overseas for someone else. now that ive recovered from that i am looking to get a divorce and get custody of my kids and move on with my life. i need some good advice, tips and pointed in the right directions on what to do to help this happen..thank you all for your input.

I am from india madhya pradesh.its going to be 2 years on 13th feb i got married.My husband is a fraud he is crazy and is not at all stable.He took up 4 jobs in a year he never came up with his salary to me,instead he says that iam not lucky for him and his sister is lucky for him so he hands over all his salary to his sister.I got pregnant after 3 months after my marriage,it was my first child so i wanted the baby to be delievered in a good hospital as i had two loops in my womb,but my husband and his family refused to afford a good hospital and tortured me to force my parents for the delievery,my parents agreed.after the delivery my mother inlaw and my husband asked my parents to takecare of me and take me with them to their house so that i can get well soon after the delievery.my husband left his job again and all my and my chid's responsibility was taken by my parents.finally one day i asked my husband to take me with him but his family refused to keep him and me and asked us to lve seperatly i asked my husband to take a room on rent he agreed but one day that man turned wild and said to me that he do not loves me and is living with me only for the child he also tortured me a lot,abused my parents and me his family also abused us.now because iam too much mantally frustated by him because he abuses me alot i decieded to divorce.he again came to my house torturing me and my family he said he will rum away taking my child and will kill me and may child he challenged my parents that he would do such a thing that we can never imagine off.his attitude was like this right from the 1st month of marriage infact we had fights 2 times but we compromised 2 time but now its the limit i cant tolerate now.WHAT SHOULD I DO I AM WORRIED ABOUT MY CHID I CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT MY CHILD WHAT IF HE TAKES MY CHILD AWAY?My son is just 9 months old..iam going to file a case on 13th february..i want my child's custody..he s a cray and a mad person iam quite worried about my child and my parents what should i do??????? Why are the divorce and child custody laws so biased against men? Let me give my scenario and explain why?
I've been divorced now for almost six years. My ex wife committed adultery multiple times during our marriage. One time I had to go to the health department to be tested for an STD. The other time that I know of she slept with a close family member of mine. I married her and she had two children already and we had my only biological child together. We lived together for almost eight years. Now here's the unfair and biased part. Although I had legitimate grounds for divorce she was still entitled to half and child support for my daughter. I consulted three attorneys on this male and female and I was informed that if I had behaved in the same manner. She would be entitle to more. Needless to say, my ex wife go to live in our house rent free for three years and plus for 18 months I made child support payments for my daughter while I had to live with my mother. I had the child support stopped because I was still was paying the mortgage where my ex and the children resided. After that however, the ex wife got involved with Child Protective Services because of neglect of my daughter. I also began to pay child support again at this time because the ex wife and children moved out of the home. CPS placed my daughter with me but they couldn't address the child support situation. They suggested I try for free legal aid, but I didn't meet the income qualifications. To make a long story short, I had to hire an attorney for $5,000 of which I am still paying for today, in order to get custody of my daughter. Had I not had the money, my daughter would still be with her mother or some family member on her side of the family. I had to pay for the divorce and custody out of my pocket. I haven't had a girlfriend or prospect of a long term relationship in six years. This has hurt financially, emotionally, and socially. Men have to pay to exercise our rights. That's inherently unfair. Women scream equality but in these matters it's just lip service

is no longer true. even though the papers are signed and notorized, the situations are totally different. can i still contest in court, because the signed docs. aren't accurate?

Husband is cheating with a co worker, but threatens to take their son over the state lines, if she leaves him. Basically using her to pay his way through school. She wants to file for legal separation papers and divorce papers along with custody papers, but does not have the money to do so. Not even enough money to move out on her own. Divorce and Child Custody?
My husband has filed for divorce, he is in army and soon moving to Alaska. The children and I have always been in one small town in ny. He is fighting for full custody, as am i. He does not know the boys well, has never much taken interest in there lives. he is home here about every 6 months in and out of deployments. Is it true he can not get joint custody because of his military career. If he does get or can get joint how would that work out if he is not here to sign school papers, doctor and daycare things. I am a cub scout leader, school volunteer, sunday school teacher. Im in process of buying my own home to end the renting. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
