I need a good child custody lawyer?
I live in Winn Parish Louisiana. I would like to have my custody agreement changed. I do not have several thousand dollars to spend, but I don't qualify for legal aid. Does anyone know of a good lawyer? Can I possibly do this in a Parish other than the one I live in? I am having severe problems with my ex violating the current custody agreement constantly. There is also nothing in our agreement about picking up and dropping off, so that is always an argument. I am usually expected to drive a long way to drop off and pick up our child for their visitation with other parent. I am the domiciliary parent. I receive child support sporadically. The other parent wants to keep our child more than they are supposed to. At times they have left so that I can't pick our child up when I was supposed to and they would not tell me where they were. I would have to drive to their house again to pick our child up when my ex said it was O.K. I tried calling the sheriff's office about this, but since there were no threats being made they would not do anything. Our child is scared of my ex and does whatever is asked of them for fear of what will happen if my ex doesn't get their way. Manipulation, guilt trips, tantrums, rages, foul language, excuses, spitefullness, vengefullness these are common things we deal with when it comes to the other parent. Every other weekend and holidays and at times in between are made purposely difficult by the other parent. I am TIRED of dealing with it and watching my child suffer because of it I am fed up with having to go along with the other parent's whims or my kid suffers if I don't. Their demands go against previous agreements in court, on paper, and even telephone conversations . My bright, beautiful child who is in counceling has had to deal with more than their share of stress, mental, emotional, and verbal abuse because of this situation. It is taking a toll.

I am a mother of 3 two pregnancies, one father. We split almost two years ago and the kids were bouncing back and forth between us for about 6 months. I fell on hard times and lost my job, and then losing my apartment in turn. I was forced to go stay with a family member in her 2 bedroom condo with her daughter and boyfriend. I couldn't bring my kids with me to stay there. I gave my children's father $1,000 to take care of the kids in the mean time until I got back on my feet. He left the state and moved to Indiana. Since he moved, he will not give me his address and only calls private. I have only seen my kids once since the move to Indiana. I recently got accepted into a University where there is family housing and I wish to get my kids back, permanently. I have been trying to find a pro bono custody lawyer for the longest time. My kids need to be with their mother and I know I can give them a better life than their father, who does not have legal custody of them mind you. Please help

This is actually for my kids' dad. His ex wife took the kids nearly 2 years when he was in the hospital breaking their original custody agreement and filed for full custody in another county. She has repeatedly moved without allowing him to see the kids or know where she lived. He has went to the courts down their and they said he has to wait til she updates her address. Now when he got her current address from a court supena when the kids got in trouble he went down for support and now she is demanding child support. He doesnt make very much money and cant afford a good lawyer and she uses her father's money to buy the best lawyers to burn him in court.

ok basically, my fiance, had a child with his ex. she took his car and his son and went to california without telling him. She blew his transmission and since shes on the insurance, it wont cover the damages which is stupid. anyway well he had warrants out for her arrest and then 4 months later she said she wanted the son's father to be apart of their life so he flew her back home. anyway shes mad that he and i are getting married and my fiance has his son but his x gf is staying somewhere else, she wants to get full custody but she got her other 2 kids taken away and the fathers got full custody. how can my fiance get full custody of his son? his babys moma doesnt have a job, a car, or a stable palce to life and shes sucidal..does getting married, help the situation? and if he lives with his mom, does that go against him? his mom cant work...so any suggestions? more to story but cant write it all here, she also said shes putting this in the paper, isnt that call slander though?

My brother is meeting with a custody lawyer tomorrow and I need to know what he should take with him He is trying to get custody of his baby that his girlfriend signed her rights away at birth to her parents.
