My husband and I have been offset due to child support. He pays every month and they have added back pay with?
My husband is paying his child support and they have added back pay into that. Is there anything we can do to get our money back? I was told if he was paying on his back pay then they shouldn't have offset our return He just found out the child is his and she's 3 years old. Please help How can they take money away from my kids and give it to another?

Can child support be enforced even if a divorce case is not settled?
Non custodial parent NCP continuously refused to settle divorce until custodial parent pay NCP alimony. Custodial parent opened a Child support case with Family Law Facilitator. All of a sudden, NCP wants to settle, but demanding years of alimony, even if the NCP was employed during those many years. Now, I refuse to settle with his tactic of outrageous demand. Can child support still be enforced by court even if divorce is not settled ?

When my husband divorced his ex, they had joint legal and physical custody, but he had to pay child support. Also, on income taxes, one parent would claim the children on even years, the other on odd years. She had the 3 kids overnight while he had them in the day. Due to errors from the Friend of the Court, not taking money from dad's check so kids didn't receive money, both parents signed off of FOC. He still paid, but directly to the mother. After my husband and I married, one of the kids moved in with us. 6 months later the youngest moved in. The oldest had then graduated HS. We got the kids because her she was not taking proper care of them. We did not go though the courts. A VERBAL agreement was made between my husband and the ex that we would claim the kids every year on our taxes because she didn't want to pay child support or medical cost. We agreed to this because it was the right thing for the children and we could afford them I have a good job . One lived with us for 3 years and the youngest for 9 years. The youngest is now 16 and went to live with her mother. The mother is now suing us. She says that we filed our taxes before her so she could not claim the children on her years. The amount is for $14,000. My question is since she is going back on her verbal agreement, can we ask for retroactive child support and medical cost? We are not disputing her getting child support now she has the child and that is what is due to her . Just the income taxes. We only made $6,000 is tax credits from claiming the children. If you can tell us where we can find any court law publication for this it would be greatly appreciateded. We live in Michigan.
Child Support took too much from my return?
Last year I lost my job and got behind on child support, I know thats not good but I became current from the 2010 tax return. Now this year I found out they was going too take the same amount again as they never gave me credit for the $2,982 they took last year. I spoke to them and they stated it would be fixed and would not come back out of my taxes. Well I just got my return credited to my account and they took the whole amount again. How do I get my money back? I live in Tennessee and deal with the Greeneville Office. The lady that told me the information was the lady over the office so I thought for sure this was correct. So now they have almost $3k of my money sitting there that isn't owed. What can I do? Thank you for your answers.
