Michigan child custody laws?
My sister just left her husband today, and is moving back into my parents until she can get back on her feet. They live in Michigan by the Ohio border and my parents live across the border in Ohio about thirty minutes away. She hasn't filed for divorce yet she is doing that on monday. Her husband told her that it's illegal for her to take their son across state lines, the only things I can find about child custody in michigan is moving after everything has been filed. Does anyone know if what he says is true, or is he just trying to scare her?

Does anyone know about child custody laws in Florida?
My fiance' has a son that is five years old that lives with the mother in Florida. She moved over 900 miles away a few months ago so he would not be able to see his son on a regular basis. They have been broken up for over three years now. They have never been to court for anything so neither of them has court ordered custody. He sends a good amount of child support every month because he knows that is the right thing to do. In December she is letting his family in Virginia have their son for a few weeks. His family has agreed to let him come take his son, we live in North Carolina. Is it illegal for him to bring his son to North Carolina and keep him here? He has asked my opinion and I have no idea of the laws for this situation. They were never married, never been to court, child support is paid voluntarily, but the mother will not allow father and son to see each other. He has a great job, doesn't do drugs, no criminal record, no history of abuse, the only thing the mother resents is the fact that he won't be with her. She tells the child that his father doesn't love him anymore or he would come live with them instead of staying in North Carolina where they originally lived . He came home from work one day over three years ago and she had packed and took the son with her. Any advice?

The father is going for full custody. but one day the mother came with the cops, the father showed the court papers it is not final yet that he has full custody until december but the cops still gave the child to the mother. Anyone know child custody laws in texas?
My brother has been trying to get a hold of his son now for over 4 months. His ex wife moved and since she did he can not get a hold of his son. He has left a message everyday and she never calls him back. I have even tried to call a few times and she never returns any of my phone calls too. They don't have access to email so we are not able to try and contact him that way. My brother has always been a great dad.....and his ex wife....well she is not such a great mom. He pays his child support every month etc. Any one know what he can do so he can see his son?

Unmarried parents and child custody law?
My boyfriend's roommate has a son from his ex girlfriend and he watches him every other weekend. He claims that there is a co habitation law that states he cannot be under the same roof as a female. My boyfriend has asked for documentation because his roommate is saying I can't ever spend the night. I would not stay there if his son is there, but what about when his son is not there? This is also news to my boyfriend, who has been roommates with this guy for about 4 months. I know that there are laws of cohabitation for divorced parents, so I was wondering if this also coincides with unmarried parents? We live in the state of Louisiana. I know each state has different laws.

Child Custody Laws in Pa and inability to pay child support?

What is the Child Custody laws in North Carolina?
My husband has a daughter with a previous relationship. They seperated when she was 3 & came up with the mutual agreement not involving the courts for him to pick her up on Sunday evenings & for her to pick her back up on Wednesday evening...completely joint. He also pays 200 monthly even though it's joint. He is a great father, has provided a very stable loving environment for her, she is Daddy's Little Girl. The mother is a good mother as well. They are both " fit" parents. Reagan is 5 now & the mother has recently decided for reasons unsure new boyfriend idk that she only wants to give the daughter to him ONLY 4 days out of the month. Does she have the right to do that? Doesnt he have just as much say? If this was brought to the courts would he be granted joint custody? He just wants the schedule to stay EXACTLY the same unless he can get FULL custody of her . He is afraid that if brought to court that her new schedule would be " approved" . Is this at all possible? Side Note Not sure if this has anything to do or can alter the answer but they both do NOT have any criminal background or charges.

Child custody laws in PA question. Help please?
My son and his girlfriend have a 3 year old son together. Recently, the girlfriend and her daughter not my son's child went back to her home country of Guam for 3 weeks. While there, she had an affair with her 7 year old daughter's father. My grandson and son didn't go to Guam with them. When she came back, my son found out about the affair and they split. She took the son and the daughter not by my son's choice and has only allowed my son to see his child approx. 1 hour since this happened around June 20. Today, my son got a phone call from her attorney. The attorney said that his girlfriend wants permission to take the son to Guam and that if he says, " No." , that he will look bad at the custody hearing. I do not believe that this attorney should even be calling my son. Am I right? Also, I believe that there is no way to guarantee they will come back to Pennsylvania without involving the law and making this an even more complicated issue. My son does not know what to tell her attorney. He doesn't want to give them permission, yet he doesn't want to look bad in court either. He is fighting for joint custody. The hearing date has not yet been set. Has anyone had this issue when custody hasn't been determined yet??? Thank you.Just a note As far as we know, Guam follows the custody laws of California, but we are in PA, so we don't know much about all that. Thank you all so much for your advice. It is very helpful.

Child Custody Laws in United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.) , Dubai?
3 years ago my wife and I filed a divorce case in our native country. We both are muslims. I practice, she does not. I am a Shiite she is a Sunni. We have a 5 year old son. The court awarded the sole custody of our son to the mother but I appealed for that to a higher court. At that time I moved to the UAE with my son with the permission from the mother. I did not take him back to the country that the mother lives in. Now she says she wants him back but I do not want to give my child back to because she does not look after him well and she does not teach anything about religion and she consumes alcohol....etc. Plus my income is 3 times more than hers and my son is living in way better than she could provide. My son is fully attached to me since he was born and when he saw his mother he used to run away, scream or cry out or push her and run to me. It is because I looked after him all the time. Now my questions are Can she come to Dubai and take away our son?Can I have an order of travel ban for him?Can I file a custody case in Dubai? How long would the case take? What is my chance to get the custody of our son?Should I wait until he gets 7 year old?Thank you very muchhygr...Without knowing the details you are accusing me with so many hateful words. You say " TRUTH" . You know nothing about our lives. Anyway, I never said anything bad to my son about his mother. I understand you have a prototype father man in your mind sourcing from your own experiences but you can try some empathy if are able to. I am a father and my son is the most important person in my life. I am not an ATM machine or a weekend clown. I am a FATHER. I fed him, I bathed him, I changed his diapers, I read him, I taught him, I played with him, I listened to him, I valued his ideas, and I always loved him and that is why he is so attached to me. Believe it or not small kids are much much better than adults when it comes to distinguish real or fake love, hugs, smiles... Now please keep your hateful ideas and not to spread them through the net. May God have you find the truth in your own life.

Child custody laws for N.C?
My husband and I would like to get his brother 16 out of his current living situation. His mother is emotionally abusive, and just an all around beehotch. My husband was removed from her custody when he was like 8. Then she got pregnant with his brother, and yeah. My question is, since he's " legal age of consent" and he'd be more than happy to get away from his horrible mother, do we have any chance to get custody of him? My husband is in the Army, and I'm getting out. We have a steady income, and housing provided for us. Any advice, or legal websites would help. Thanks
