I just got divorced In June,2012. i tried to make it on my own, can i still file for alimony?
My husband is not paying the alimony and child support as order from the court. what is his punishment?
What is his punishment?
Whats the difference between temporary spousal support and alimony?
whats the difference between temporary spousal support and alimony? are they both calculated differently based on different laws?
What do you think of alimony?
I am in Arizona and have experienced this ruling. The ex s lawyer asked if the ex did not deserve the same lifestyle as I had. I responded, If she had my same career. The alimony and child support total leaves my husband with mere dollars left each month. The judge said my husband knew of this obligation prior to remarrying and was not impressed with his argument. The judge went on to say we were living very comfortably with my salary and she is barely getting by, shouldn t you redistripute the wealth? This is ridiculous The ex doesn t even work and states her position is to raise the children where his is to provide for her and them. Why are these women victims? They are grown adults, capable of making decisions, working why do they demand an ex takes care of them? They, too, decided to end the initial relationship." I read this from a custody site. I totally agree housewives want to whine about how they cook, clean, take care of the kids which they wouldn't be if the man didn't pay the bills . And when they get divorced want to whine, I mean come on. You can still have a job and do all of those things, I know cause my mom did. And if you have to clean EVERY SINGLE DAY, then you have a nasty house, or you don't make an effort to teach your kids to clean up after themselves, regardless you're an adult act like one and stop acting like a damn victim. God, some women need to hear Beyonce's ''Independant Woman.''I know I'm going to get a lot of insults, as if we live in the 200 BC, and women have NO options, please. Tangy Love the response. Women have been taught to depend of men since the beginning of time, but we live in a world with WAY MORE opportunities then women than the Elizabethan Era.
How can women brag about being independent but also try to collect money from child support and alimony?
I hear women all the time brag how they don't need money or nothing from a man and say they can support themselves and take care of their own, so why go back and forth to child support court and divorce court for alimony, and yes I know child support is meant to help take care of a child and its not really for the woman, but you're still going to receive financial help from an outside source, that's what the words child support mean. However its spinned, asking help from other people means everything EXCEPT being independent. How do women reconcile with this? I am merely talking about the women who BRAG about being independent yet seek financial support from other men.For all the people that are taking this as a dis to women, listen carefully, I was merely speaking of the women who BRAG about being independent. And it doesn't just go for child support. I mean alimony and other financial advantages a woman can get from a man but at the same time she pats herself on the back about how self sufficient she is. It is hypocritcal. As for child support, the paycheck goes to the woman to do whatever she wants with it. Atleast in my state. There are women who survive completely by child support without having to work. I am not trying to go into why child support is wrong, I merely pointing out the hypocrisy of saying im independent and can take care of my own but I run to the government or the person directly for financial support, Im not saying the person is wrong or doesn't have the right to do that, but how can you brag about being independent about it?
Why do men always ask for a divorce and then tell their wife they will only give so much for alimony?
and say they don't love their wife anymore.and not attracted to her anymore.

Can a mother of a 19yrs old student (wanting to move out) refuse to pay him the alimony his father paid?
Hi,I've got just a short question.I'm half english, half polish. I spent most of my life in Poland. My parents have been divorced for 17 yrs I'm 19 . My father has been paying alimony according to British, not Polish laws for all that time I live with my mother, who is Polish . I'm currently studying in Poland in the city I live in, so I never moved out. I never got much money from my mother, but I never complained she paid all the bills and always took care of me. Unfortunately, we stopped understanding each other. We just keep on fighting. I want to move out, because since two years ago it seems like the only good option.Am I entitled to receive these 300 GBP a month? Can my mother refuse to pass on that money even though I'm 19? I really need answers. Thanks in advanceSM
Can a second wife's assets or income be taken into account in determining alimony to the first wife?
We live in NH. Since my fiance's divorce his income has changed significantly to just under half of what he was making while married. The reduction in his income was anticipated when the court made their initial decision regarding alimony and the parties were told that he would have to return in order to readjust his alimony obligation. We want to get married but are concerned that my assets will be taken into account when he returns to court. I do not have an income and she is single.
Alimony when the woman can support herself?
Is it true that when a woman divorces a man, she can still get alimony even though she is capable of getting a decent job? I wonder if this law was made influenced by feminism.
Can the Girl I Love get Alimony from her husband if she quickly changes marriage?
The girl I love is married, and she has kids, but I love her. I had a relationship with her, and now she's telling me she's thinking of getting a divorce.Instead of hiding our love from the husband, she can be with me. She says that we can get the big house if she divorces, but how does this work? I don't know how alimony work... is this true? When I get her can we really get her ex husband's house after divorce? When they came to America, he bought it... but now she is telling me the 2 of us can have the house?
