Giving up my daughter for adoption....?
My husband and I decided that kids are just not for us and we're wanting to pass our parental rights to very good friends of ours. They are millionaires and live in Europe. Just to make this clear, we're not being self fish. We want to give her a better more fufilling life with more financial opportunities. My husband and I cherish our time together more than anything and we're sad that we've lost 7 years of our free time. We will always visit her and they will send us youtube videos and lots of pics. We will help as much as we can. I am not saying it's not going to be hard. It will be the toughest day of my life when we say our goodbyes. But they will NOT be final. We will try to visit at least once a year.Is it possible to give kids that are 7 up for adoption or does that have to happen from birth to be legal? If there are any other candidates to adopt our daughter, please leave your information in the box. We will set aside a date to skype and see if your living situation and financial status is a fit to take care of our daughter. We would have to have meetings over a 6 month period before we can give up our rights. We pretty much made up our minds about our close friends having her...but we are still open to other candidates in case they change their minds. Our daughter is perfectly healthy, very well mannered, good looking, and tidy person. She will not need braces or anything taken care of medically as of now. Her name is Mackenzie and I'd prefer it to stay the same. That is in case our friends will change their minds. It's a very big responsibility. We are seeking more options.

Name change and adoption.?
I haven't seen my sons father since July of this year. But even before that he never did anything for his son. It was rare he took him to spend time with him. My boyfriend has been in my sons life for a year and he's done more for my son then his own father has done since he was born. My boyfriend and I plan on getting married soon and he would love to adopt my son and give him his last name. How can I go about this. I live in NYC by the way if that helps any. Thanks in advanced Mel

Boyfriend changed after giving baby up for adoption?
My boyfriend and I are drifting apart after we gave our baby up for adoption in March. I want to know if maybe this is the reason why.. I have thought of every reason that it could be.. Like cheating on me, hating me for the adoption, etc. I don't know what else it could be since he treated me like a princess when I was pregnant. He doesn't talk to me anymore or tell me things. He acts suspicious when I touch his phone or use the computer. I did find out that he had been talking to girls on facebook and on his phone.. What is going on? What am I doing wrong? So do you think that maybe he is cheating on me? I just don't get it. Everything was perfect and now things are ruined and gone.. There is NOTHING there anymore. Its like we are roommates. It is just so hard coping with the adoption.. Losing my best friend and partner on top of it, is horrible.

Depressed and want to go to foster home or go for adoption at age 17. I need HELP?
Im 17 years old. When i was around 11 16 Y O my mom would threaten me to send me to foster home whenever something would go terribly bad in school. My mom has given up on me a long time ago. Im 17 now and a couple days ago i went on contract with my school. If i am tardy again my mom will be fined because of me being truant. My mom has officially given up with me. I go to a continuation school and im a senior with about 80 credits and i need 220 to graduate. I have already given up my will to live. But what good comes from suicide? So i realized a couple days ago that i am OK with foster parenting because i have given up on everything. I don't want to live with my biological family anymore. We are struggling with money and we have to move again. This means i have to change schools... AGAIN. I've been to 11 different schools in my life. If i move 1 more time that is equivalent to changing schools every year of my life. I have no close friends. I also have social anxiety which is hell to live with because i cant do anything about it. All i do is stay home everyday because its all i can do. I dont have a bed to sleep in. I actually sleep on a bunch of lined up dining table chairs in my living room. I have older brothers. Oldest has been to prison multiple times. Second oldest is working and is doing alright. Third didnt have a job for a really long time but just got one. And then me who is in high school. Anyways i was wondering if going for foster parenting or adoption would be a good idea for a 17 year old boy? Is there anything poistive to come of that? I was hoping that i can be taken in by a wealthy family but i know that will never happen. I hate my life so much and im sick of the same crap everyday. Nothing changes around here and when it does it gets worse. Please can anyone give me any advice on what i should do with my life?

Privet adoption in mass?
First off we live in Mass. So this girl is really young, had a baby last feb an is due in match for her second.... Bad decision I know, well my friend really want to adopt this baby as she's looking into adoption. Thin is he's a single male. I told him I would help him an I'm a single mom of three. I'm looking for some info on what the steps would be to do this?? The girl has already informed me that she is willing to let him adopt her if she can. Please any advise would be greatly appreciated, no opinions please, the babies father is not involved an wants her to have an abortion an get rid of it... I don't want this baby thrown in a bad situation an that's what will happen if he can't take her.

Help! Coping with adoption?
My friend was adopted from China and she is feeling like she doesn't fit in with her family. She gets upset and comes to me all the time when people come up to her at school and are like " Is that your mom, you don't look anything like her" . Which obviously gets annoying and frustrating for her. What can I tell her that will make her feel better? Is there anything I can tell her that will help not feel so upset about being adopted? Thanks in advance,Kali

How to convince my wife of adoption?
My wife gave birth 2 weeks ago to a girl. We already have 1 girl, 1 more than we already need. I would have much preferred this baby to be a boy. We have 5 boys that I love dearly, and the one brat girl we're stuck with, we don't need 2. I hate this new baby and want her out of my house. I've been arguing this with my wife since she's been pregnant. I wanted her to abort, but she chose not to. How can I convince her that adoption would be the best option?I don't see what your point is beance81122 & sweetlilbrat26 I take it you two are b tches. Sorry that I wish not to bring any more of you into the world sweetlilbrat26 I don't hate females, just b tches like you. Your screen name says it all sweetlilbrat26 No you're a b tch because of your attitude. You probably have nothing going on in your life that's not consisting of you lying on your back.

Im 27 years old and i am adopted, how do i terminate the adoption,?
the thing is we just don't see eye to eye on things, we don't get along at all, im married im in the navy, i have a 7 month old daughter, and i don't want my daughter being around all this nonsense, i just want to move forward in life without the adoptive father in my life.... so how can i make it that way legally?

If a father signs over his rights, but the adoption never takes place, is he still responsible?
My husband signed over his rights to his son, and another man was set to adopt him. Apparently the other man did not do so and is no longer with the mother. Now 3 years later we are being taken to court for child support. Was his giving up his rights contingent on the adoption taking place? Can she win and be awarded child support for a child that we thought we had no rights to?Wanted to add that it is the child's mother, my husband's ex wife, that is taking us to court for child support. She tried starting drama with us and it didn't work because we ignored her, and now 3 weeks later we're getting a letter in the mail that she's asking for child support. We have the court doc's that show that my husband gave up his rights, but I'm not sure if they were ever filed with the court.

He signed adoption papers once, and now wont do it again?
My daughters bio dad signed adoption papers last Nov of 2010 and signed his rights over, my husband and I had to have been married for a year by law in Kansas before he could adopt her. But the adoption papers expire after 6 months. So my lawyer told me he had to sign the adoption papers again now that we have been married for a year. I found him, he had moved to California and he said he didn't want to sign the adoption papers again but he still has no parental rights what so ever...... So is there any chance they will still waive the other adoption paper through since he signed it one time? He hasn't seen or talk to my daughter since November 05, 2010, it is now October 12, 2011 does that make a difference. Another important note, her bio dad and I were never married and she has lived with me 100 % of the time and he has not been around much from the time she was 1 to 3 1 2, he saw her maybe once or twice a month for 2 hrs in that time and after that he hasn't seen or talked to her, she is now almost five. He has never paid child support and hasn't paid for anything at all since she was 1. Will my husband still be able to adopt her?

My father was adopted but passed when I was young, how do I get to his files for adoption?
When I was young my father passed away I don't know his adoptive parents or his birth parents and I have no idea what ethnicity I am. I'm 19 is there any possible way for me to get his files from adoption. I know he has a sister and she has been contacting me but neither of us know anything. Please help..?I don't know his adoptive parents. We don't know the original name or anything. We just know his adopted name and that's it

Why are so many disabled children given up for adoption?

Marriage and adoption laws?
Are there any states countries where it's legal to marry your adopted parent? If so, what are they?To Tamey I'm not asking why people would care, I'm asking if it's legal. Gay marriage isn't legal in most states and that has nothing to do with blood relation. I'm just wondering where this is legal.
