How do I meet people w/o going to parties?
I'm 17 and I don't drink or go to parties, i go out and have friends I just wanna meet people girls in particular what are some good way to do this other than go to parties

To scared to meet people,please read and help?
im really shy at first and come accross as abit boring,and hate meeting new people whenever i do and they ask me to meet them i can never do it and allways just go along with it then end up making excuses i just dont wanna. but ive lost to many people recenty and id like to start having a better social life tbh but im just to scared of meeting people and going outi just dont know what do to,and when i have manned up and met them its usually just so awkward and silent,like with some people i click and its cool but most of the time i dont ,what should i do?

How can I meet people and make friends at my new University without seeming like a weirdo?
I know that you have to talk to strangers to meet new people but it's not easy and these aren't the most welcoming of students to interact with. They come from very privileged backgrounds and the worst of their kind are in the Greek system. But I just want to make friends and I don't want to be seen as a " creeper" for how I do it. I just want to have friends to walk around with on campus, go to the dining hall with, go to a school sports event with.. That kinda thing. Oh, it help to say that I'm 27, which is a noticeable bit older than the other students, I'm 6'5, which even if I wasn't older would still make me look slightly older, and I live off campus I'm a commuter student. So they, the strangers, don't get to see my face as often and have that familiarity of seeing me around be established.. Yeah. So, what can I do to work within these things to still make some quality friends that I actually do things with not just have as " friends" on Facebook ? Spectre That's a good idea. I've considered that recently, being that I have a whole house to work with. I'd have to wait another month or two at least for warmer weather, but the more time the better for planning specifics.. thanks. Could you help me with my most recent question?

Hosting a party to meet people?
Me and my best friend don't know many people in our town and we want to host a party to meet people. We were thinking putting up flyers around town and having it at the beach. Any other suggestions on ways to meet people or to invite people to the party? hello guysi am 20 years old guy , and i have this huge problem , i can't be normal in front of othersit takes me a long time to feel comfortable and trust the person i talking to i have never had a gf or had sex , i just don't ever talk to girls , and i amsure if i talked a lot with girls they will like mebut its a big deal for me , i have been in college for a year and i still don't have friendsnot even one . i have other friends but they are not in my school.when i am around a lot of people i freak out , i just don't like it .i do text with girls and sometimes talk on the phone with themgirls who know me always tell be you will have no problem meeting girls at allwe are close friends and they like me a lot.but i just can't socialize with others , i know girls don't like the guy to be shy and i know a guyis supposed to be out going . but thats not me .i get confused all the times and i over think about almost everything .i tried and tried to socialize but i always look weird , the only people i can be normal with are my close friends and people i know and trustso if i reached that level with a girl i am sure she will like me , i am a caring and honest guy .i am sure i could be a great bfi like meeting random people and text with random girls , i do have some friends from different states who i never met , but we became close friendsi could need some advice here ....and please don't judge , if you have an advice just feel free to tell methank you

How to meet people/talk to strangers on a solo trip?
I have done solo trips before, met lots of people, and loved it. I'm about to embark on a new solo trip. However, right now, my low self esteem is very low. I feel very shy and boring like I have nothing to talk about. Also, I'm very self conscious that I'm under 21, still a student, and that people would not take me seriously. Finally, I feel like people would think I'm a freak for traveling alone even though I know there are lots of solo travelers out there I'm dead nervous right now.
