Friends playing matchmaker?
A couple weeks ago I was talking to one of my good friends that I havnt seen in a while. I told her all about my guy problems like most girls do haha and she told me she has a good idea. She said she had the perfect guy for me and even showed me pics of him from facebook. She told me she wants to introduce us. This guy was really cute and she works with him and they became good friends. So I've been going through some hard times so I havnt been able to hang out with her or anything but we still talk and are planning on hanging out soon. How can I bring it up that I want her to hook me up with this guy? I don't want to sound desperate and I don't want her to think I'm just using her or something...I've been through a couple bad relationships and from the way she described him he seems like a good guy. How should I bring it up haha

Why do friends try to play matchmaker?
My friends know that I am already interested in this one guy. The problem is, they keep trying to play matchmaker and try to get me to date guys I don't like or know. One friend said " you should date guys name" and I said no. Then she says " Just Joking " My other friends are friends with him and they keep trying to make him ask me out. They keep on dragging and pushing him literally to say something to me. This guy is really shy and he never even talks to me. He is even afraid to stand next to me. I have another friend who asks her friend to go and talk to my crush for me. I didn't ask. She even told me that she told this guy whom I don't know that we should date. When I asked who this person was, she didn't even want to tell me at first. This has all happened within 2 weeks. They think it's funny. I don't think dating is a game, I don't date people whom I'm not interested in.So why do they do this? No rude trolling answers or I'll report.My friends are also single, so why aren't they trying to find themselves a boyfriend girlfriend instead of me?

So far I've been the person to set 2 of my closest friends up. Which is great, because it's nice to see them so happy however it's very difficult at the same time.Has anybody been in the same situation? Any advice?I always plan things for us to do and always feel like there's little left in it for me.I'm 17 by the way.

Should I be offended my friend tried to play matchmaker on me?
There is this high school friend who I rarely see. Anyways so after not seeing her for over 1 year she invited me to her birthday party. I was playing some games and she grabbed me to introduce me to two males. I felt offended because firstly she doesn't know I am sort of seeing some guy and since we barely see each other she doesn't know my taste in men, plus it is rude to match make ppl up when you haven't keep in contact with that person for years. Last time when I with her I told her about the guy I am seeing is a family friend and our parents want us together she right away says she will introduce me to a guy. I have met a lot of men since I did studied Computer Science in university, I love my family friend because he makes me happy and we have great chemistry together plus I liked him long before our family started getting us together. Other guys I have gone on dates with just doesn't offer the same chemistry. With the family friend I have more things to talk about and our personality lifestyle are so similar. Basically I felt offended when she tried to match make me especially when I told her I like the family friend, I felt she thinks I need a matchmaker or I am desperate for men.

I will be meeting with a professional matchmaker tomorrow and a little scared about how to present myself. I am female, 30s, and have a very limited dating experience. I have never had a long term relationship and am not sure how to explain that. I also don't know how to answer the question " what are you looking for?" Any suggestions? I am also worried that she will want to discuss my dating failures and I am afraid to to feel humiliated. Any tips would be amazing. Thanks.

What does a 3rd generation matchmaker mean?
I've had Bravo's milionare matchmaker on all day and don't understand that phrase she uses in her opening. Does it mean she's done it that long? Or that she services that variety of ages? Thank you and have a beautiful evening
