I have decided that I am gay. I act straight with friends and family, because I am scared they will get nasty with me, but I have always been kidding myself. I wanted to be straight, and I have lots of female friends, but I just don't find women as sexy as men. Sorry for being honest I have fancied men ever since I can remember I have tried to force my self to be interested in women in a sexual way, but I always knew I was different to other straight guys. They was always looking at girls going oh their fit, or I would like her to be my girl friend, but I never felt like that. I used to think it was because I was shy, but since getting older as we all do. I recently posted a question about finding it hard to chat to girls and yes I have to be honest I am not even close to getting a girl friend yet, and I got so many helpful answers off guys and girls. I acted on an answer that said join a good dating website by joining match.com, or at least I thought it was good. I have been a member for a month and sent a message to one girl on the first sunday, and then after not hearing anything tried a few more girls. I just sent them a nice message letting them know that their profile was cool, and that I would like a chat on the site just to see What happens, and just as in real life no response at all. God I felt more down than I did before joining the website. Further more I then contacted match.com, and asked if I was emailing right lol, and they sent me a message saying that the girls I was interested in could not respond even if they wanted to, as they were not full members god I was mad I paid 30.00 for nothing. I am not trying to run the website down but I felt a little ripped off. I kind of knew that I was not gonna find my everlasting love on there but at least a chance of a response would of been good. The girls I had contacted had signed as free members, but never bothered to subscribe, so they could send winks, but not messages.Does anyone know any good genuine dating websites where I can just practise getting a little better with the opposite sex. God might be ugly and sound pathetic I know, but surely some girl out there would go out with me lol Most genuine websites please? It is not just having sex for the first time. I am also starting to get lonely as many guys and girls do who have not had a girl friend or boy friend for a long time, or never in my case well actually one girl friend and she asked me out I am 21 lol. Keep answers nice and sensible I don't need harsh or petty comments I know I sound desperate, but just think how you would feel? For example there is nothing more I can do to attract the opposite sex. I am very clean, have nice teeth, have a job, have many hobbies and interests and dress well. I am shy and lack confidence, but surly that would not put every girl off. To be honest I know this sounds pathetic again, but I have never asked a girl out, so maybe its that I just don't know. I hear there are so many guys and girls with my problem whether that's the case or not I just don't know?I have many friends that are girls, but I never want to take it to next step in case they reject me and I look stupid. God if only I was Jonny Depp or Brad Pitt lol life would be so much easier. Friendship and communicating is in no way a problem only asking girls out and taking things to the next big step is my problem. Other than my one problem I lead a very good and normal life. I've been striking out with the lack of responses from women on dating websites, and i'm pretty sure its just a matter of being unimaginative with the subject lines as most messages sent were unread . I completely understand that women get 10 100x more messages than guys do, and that its pretty much a filtering process of " worth reading" and " lame, unread, delete" . I might have a stellar message, but is it worth opening if the subject line reads " Hey" , or " whats up?" ...Which brings me to my question for you guys.
