What are some reasons why some men's dating profiles get no attention, while others get contacted all the time?
What distinguishes between a good profile of someone you may contact and one you want to avoid?Just seeing what others opinions are.

Why are so many women's online dating profiles so mean?
Guys don't have mean online dating profiles. But a decent number of women get wicked like witches. It is as if they have been mistreated by a bunch of guys in the past and they're gonna take out their anger on any future dating prospects. If there is a list on their profile that says " I don't want any guys who are like this..." . And then there is a long list of all types of things they hate about guys. The list will be like, " I don't want you if you're poor and I don't want you if you are short and I don't want you if you have issues and I don't want you if you get angry sometimes and I don't want you if you if you ever want some attention because my kid comes first and you mean nothing compared to my kid and I hate guys who drink and do drugs and I hate guys who are full of drama and I hate guys who are..." And the list goes on and on and on It's like, " Damn, you're mean " A lot of women's dating profiles are like this. I am a guy and my dating profile just says, " I am looking for someone who is nice." Ah, that's actually pretty mean to say you don't like burger flippers because this is a tough economy and guys are trying to do the best they can right now in terms of employment. Sometimes ya just gotta accept any job just to pay the bills. It's what a man's gotta do. I would never rule a woman out because of which job she worked.

Do females lie on their online dating profiles?
I mainly want to know if they lie about college degrees, because it seems like 9 out of 10 say they have a degree. And why are women that date online so picky?? Do they ever actually meet the guys they single out?

Should I keep goes on dates with this guy with multiple online dating profiles?
Hi,I met a guy about a month ago and we've been on about 6 dates. We met online and he's nice about planning dates ahead of time, and the last date he said he wanted a relationship and said something about love . However, found out he has a lot of inactive dating profiles and was actively on 2 of them last night and he kinda lied about it . Should I just accept this and go on another date with him? Any help would be great

How far into dating someone can you expect to take down online dating profiles?
I met this guy on an online dating site. We've been on about 7 dates in the past month, and I just spent pretty much the whole weekend with him. I know he's very into me, and I have a strong attraction to him as well. When would it be appropriate to ask about being exclusive and about taking down the online dating profiles? And how do I bring it up? Thanks

Is it weird when a girl doesn't look at your online dating profile but accepts a first date request?
I met this girl on a dating website by sending her an email and she responded. We hit off a conversation and I asked her out after a number of email exchanges. She replied back, told me her name, and said she would love to. I replied back and asked for her number and she gave it to me. However, she never once looked at my profile. It's possible she could have used another account with no pictures because there were were 2 of those that viewed my profile. I called her tonight to find out the number was real and she was driving to her friend's house. I was courteous in asking her if this is a good time to talk and if I should call at a better time. She still wanted to talk for a little bit and we setup a place and time to meet next week but the conversation was short because she didn't have a lot time. Before we hung up she said we will definitely get together and talk and. I'm a little concerned this girl hasn't bothered to view my profile and asks very few questions but on the other hand there are some signs she is interested. Is this weird? Do you think this girl is interested in me or am I wasting my time with her?

He copied my dating profile- all, esp 20+ & guys?
Growing up my mum had a friend whose son is 6 years older than me. I always thought he was cute, and my mum always joked that she was saving him for me. I don't really know him, just know that he has values that I like and would consider dating him. I havent seen him for the past 2 years though, and yesterday I see that, coincidentally, he has signed up to the same online dating site that I signed up to a few days before. Honestly there was a part of me that was hoping that he would be on there, and we would get chatting etc I'm 22 now so the age difference isn't such a big deal anymore.. I clicked onto his profile and sent him a request to add him on the chat system. I began writing him a message saying how strange it was to see him here, and just wanted to pop in and say hi good luck.. he was writing a message too, which got in before I sent mine his said " we're actually looking for the same things but lets not go there lol" I'm just taking that to be a friendly brush off and nothing more? Although I did notice him back on my profile later ? I want to make him notice me as not just the daughter of his mum's friend, and someone told me to check out his profile occassionally seen as he can see when I visit would he interpret this as just being curious about his profile as I know him, or would he think that maybe I'm interested? . He has taken me off his contact list but this could just be because he assumes I would expect it and that I'm not looking to date him? I did notice that he had adjusted his profile and added in something which I had on mine something which I had specifically put in hope that he would come on, because I knew it was important to him about not being materialistic and not caring about what kind of car I drove does it mean anything that he copied or is it just because it was something that was important to him and I reminded him?Thanks I'll answer yours if you give me serious answers my mum has actually passed away since so there's no relationship there for us to ruin

I found out my bf has an online dating account on " areyouinterested.com" , he doesn't have a pic, it doesn't say he's single or anything like that. its completely empty. apparently he has the free account and has not upgraded to premium so obviously he cant send or receive messages, he can only browse people. I admit we have been fighting a lot lately and its been really rocky. He had online profiles before with pics and all but it was when were broken up, he later came back to me and confessed he had them without him knowing I knew about them already. we got back together and he deleted them I personally checked without him knowing . he's reasoning of having these profiles was that he felt lonely and incredibly depressed that we did not work out and that having these profiles gave him some hope and distraction from the pain. he later discovered that at the end these sites were not the answer to his sadness and came back to me. and now after a while both of us have been really stressed out school, work, family etc problems and fighting like crazy and now I discovered he has a profile again but its empty. I know he's been depressed lately because of our problems and I just feel hurt and don't know what to do.

Online Dating Profile Help?
I'm trying the online dating scene. I'm having the worst luck. I never get messages and when I do message I never get responses. I looked at some of the competition i had on the site and they all appeared to be losers. A bunch of typical party guys. They have a few short sentences in their profile with a ton of typos. I thought I had this in the bag..but apparently not. Here's what my profile looks like For starters my name is Jon. I'm 23, 6'0 220 lbs. I'm currently completing an associates degree in computer networking and I have a job related to my field of study. I also plan on acquiring several IT certifications as well. Becoming a Network Engineer or Security Specialist is one of my goals. I get along well with everyone and I'll laugh at just about anything. I try to be optimistic and I like to surround myself with positive people. I work often because I love to stay busy..I hate sitting around. Relaxing after a long day and watching a movie every once in a while is good. Just like a typical guy that lives in Saint Louis, I'm a big Cards fan. I didn't attend any postseason games..but I was celebrating downtown until 6am the next morning after game seven of the world series. Muscle cars have always caught my interest. It's the thrill of driving fast every once in a while. In my spare time I like to exercise weight lift, watch movies, explore new places and sites, cook You better exercise if you date me..otherwise you'll gain a few , grill, play sports, spend time with friends and family, and relaxing. I enjoy going to a bar or club on occasions..but not often. I'm past the bar party scene. After I find my career I plan on traveling often since I've never had the chance to. Believe it or not, singing has always been a hidden talent. When school certs and my career are out of the way I plan on fronting my own rock cover band and becoming an amatuer storm chaser. It would be a blast Those are two goals I've always wanted to achieve. A good diet and exercise are important aspects in my life. Hence my picture, I do have my burger and fry days.As far as a relationship I'm looking for the real deal. No games. I've been single for well over a year now because I'm an independent person..but it's time for a change. I've had the worst luck with dating. I could honestly write a New York Times best selling novel on my dating life. At this point I'm ready for a good woman. A woman who is caring, kind, courteous, assertive, mature but not uptight , fun and most importantly, someone who WANTS to be treated right. Fake dating profile.. will he cheat?
my boyfriend and i just got back together, we dated for 2 years, broke up for 10 months, and now have been together for 4...we were both on a dating website while apart, and when we got back together, we promised to delete them. i did, he didnt...so i made a fake profile, using some other girls pictures, and now he talks to her tons. i finally got him to delete it, but before he did, he left the fake girl " sarah" a message with his email, so they could stay in touch... he talks to " her" all the time, somedays, more than he talks to me. he will even secretly message her while with me they talk about meeting up, but havent set a date obviously... do you think he would cheat on me?? he is a nerdy, sweetheart. idk what to think help more to the story. what if he HAS mentioned that he has a gf, and that he loves her? does that change anything?

I always thought he was cute, but the age difference stood in the way of us ever really becoming friends... im 22 now so age isnt a problem anymore The other day i had signed up to a dating website and noticed that he was on it too. I contacted him to add to my chat. I was writing a message saying hello wanting to wish him luck but his came in first was like " it's me. we're actually looking for the same things, but lets not go there lol." and that was the end of that. Later I noticed that he had been back on to look at my profile. The next day I notice that he has taken me off his chat list. And when I go onto his profile I see he has added in something which mirrored exactly what mine said...his mother had told me that he had broken up with his gf because she was very materialistic and wanted him to get a new car, but he didnt care what car he drove so long as it worked.. i had basically put this on my profile, hoping he would be on the site and see it... so... what are your interpretations of all this? Is there any chance that he is interested in me, or does he expect that because we've known each other for years that i wouldnt be interested in him? I'm going away for a month but if he is still on the site I will contact him and just have a friendly chat about how his search is going.. but i just want to know what your take on all this is?
