My friend asked if I knew her older sister's classmate and I said I did. She said that she thinks we'd make a cute couple because we're both half Asian he's half Mexican and I'm half White AND mentioned that he's changed in the last few years. He was a senior when I was a freshman and my best friend at the time would always say that he would stare at me and that he liked me back then but I had not interest in him because I didn't think he was cute and I thought he was NERDY. I've known my friend for a year now and I like her alot, but the way my life I'd now, I cant really be in a relationship. I wanna date her one day, but my life is hectic right now and it's sorta impossible now. I wanna let her know how I feel before she dates a guy, but I just can't date right now. My fiance doesn't want to set a date ?Ok....so here's the deal. I m 31, and my fianc is 38, and we dated for about 2 years before he asked me to marry him with a romantic proposal in 2011. But it has been 7 months, and it's becoming increasingly clear he is actually petrified at the thought of getting married. He still does not want to set a date for a wedding....initially, he said that it was because he has a very dysfunctional and broken family this is true... and his parents who divorced 30 years ago stlil don't talk to each other. Soon I and he realized he just couldn't stomach the thought of a wedding with his family in the room. So I told him fine, I'd be willing to forego the wedding lets just go to the courthouse on a given date, get a marriage license, call it a wedding, and start our life together as husband and wife. But I'm realizing that he's not too excited about this either....whenever I bring up the question of when we will actually get married, we get into a fight, he starts finding all kinds of excuses and inventing problems with me or with our relationship. It's clear he still has a lot of baggage from his parent's ugly divorce in his childhood, and this is holding him back. I am guessing he proposed to keep me in his life with some vague intention of getting hitched someday , but hasn t been able to actually do It. In principle, he has agreed to go to therapy with me, so we can maybe confront the hurt and baggage from his parents divorce during his childhood, and see if we can overcome it. In the meanwhile, he wants to buy a house with me very soon, and is clearly eager to have children together too. I understand that he comes from an upbringing where it is OK to have children without marriage, but his constant resistance to committing to me is very upsetting. I'm lost....should I end the relationship if I want to eventually get married, while I'm not getting any younger ? Or should I help him work through his issues, go to therapy together, and see what comes out of it? I am really conflicted. Part of me wants to help him overcome his emotional obstacles because I do love him, and part of me wants to run in the other direction. HELP

i really like this girl and we're becoming pretty decent friends like we spend a lot of time together in class and throughout the day but we haven't hung out at all like not school related. anyway, i know i want to ask her out on a date i kinda wanted our first " date" to be like a group date to kinda make it less awkward but stupid efing valentine's day is coming up lol so i feel all this pressure to have her spend it with me because honestly she's an awesome girl and i'm afraid someone else will ask her to be their valentine if i don't and that would be a disaster i know it's just a stupid holiday made up by hallmark but i like her a lot and valentine's day is really special to most girls and i want her to feel special idk what to do the timing of this just sucks she for sure likes me as a friend and i asked her for her number and she gave it to me and she texted me first a couple of times but she seems nice to everyone so it's hard to say if she likes me as more than a friend. she at least hasn't mentioned any other guys lol anyway, should i try and ask her on a date next weekend and or valentines day? ugh i'm horrible at this thanks so much guys, i'll answer yours as long as you're helpful and not rude oh yeah i'm in collegethanks guys

So I have found on first dates I tend to get nervous and wonder if I'm meeting her expectations. I want to go into them making her try to meet my expectations and keep that frame throughout the date. How can I do this?
